'Presley pov'

I woke up on the small arm chair to the corner of the hospital room. I remembered Wes in pain during the night in his sleep so I let him sleep hopefully in peace and comfort on his own. The hospital beds are tiny so there was definitely no room for both Wes and I to share the bed. I looked down at my stained dress recalling the horrific scene in my head as there was a blood stain from where Wes got shot that somehow travelled to my dress. I checked my phone and it was only nine thirty. There was a few messages from Drew and Laraine checking on Wes and that's it. I looked over to Wes who looked like he was in a deep sleep but in pain. I got up of the chair and walked over to him. When I reached his wounded side he started to moan in his sleep. His eyes slowly opened and a smile formed on his face. 'hey baby, how you feeling?' I asked smiling back. 'wonderful' he said patting the empty space to his right. 'that's good but the doctor told me to get her when you wake' I said. He whined. 'why? I'm perfectly fine and I'll be better if my beautiful, wonderful, amazing girlfriend would lay down beside me so I can cuddle her' he said and I laughed. 'you left out talented, sexy and brilliant' I joked walking to the space beside him. 'oh I'm sorry' he said in a cute baby voice. I laid down beside him and he wrapped his arms around me. 'I forgive you' I whispered leaning towards his face. 'that's good' he whispered back crashing our lips together. I raised my hand placing it on the back of Wes's neck. Our lips moved in sync while he propped himself up on his elbow now hovering over me. His free hand snaked around my waist, even though he just got shot and had surgery he was still able to do all this. The kiss got very heated and was leading somewhere when my iPhone rang. I pulled away from the kiss. 'Wes let me up' I said. 'whoever it is will ring back' he said while kissing my neck. 'Wes you've been shot! everyone is worried about you if don't answer God knows what they'll think' I argued. 'well leave it to God then' he replied but I just pushed him off me. 'your so annoying sometimes' I said picking up my phone. It was an Drew.

'Drew' I said.

'hey Pres how's the patient' he asked.

'oh he's fine, back to his old self' I said sarcastically causing Drew to chuckle.

'well that's good' he said.

'do you wanna talk to him? I asked.

'nah I'll be over in a bit, has the doctor seen him?'

'no I have to get the nurse to examine him first and she'll see when the doctor needs to see him, hopefully soon'

'yeah, listen Pres I'll see you guys later' he said hanging up. I placed my phone on the locker beside Wes's bed and Wes stared at me. 'who was it?' he asked. 'Drew seeing how you are' I replied. 'cool now come back to.......bed?' he said. 'nope, I have to get the nurse' I said smiling. 'but I'm fine' he whined. 'love you baby' I said leaving the room. I walked to the receptionist and asked for our nurse. 'she is on her way to Wesley now' she replied. 'thanks' I said walking back to his room. As I got there I was greeted by the nurse who was making her way to Wes too. 'how is the patient' she asked. 'um he was in pain last night but says he's fine now, but he hasn't really moved yet' I replied. 'exactly, well in gonna take a look and tell the doctor to discharge him or not' she said as we walked into the room. 'hello Wesley, I'm nurse Williams but you can call me Sheila, I met your family and Presley when you were still under anesthetic so now it's your turn' she said walking to his wounded side. 'I'm just gonna ask you a few questions and see how you are' she said and Wesley nodded.

'did you feel light headed or dizzy when you woke up' she asked.

'no I was fine'

'okay. how's the pain? would you like more pills'

'no everything's fine I'm just a bit tired' he said.

'that's perfectly normal, you have to remember you have been shot, you can't be doing too much tasks or activities like partying, surfing, drinking, anything that can harm the wound' she said.
