Chapter 30 - Back home

Presley POV

"I'll be back for the next semester Mandy, I'll call you when I land" I told her as I made my way to board my plane. Its been a week since the whole Ethan thing and I'm finally on my way home to California. A five hour flight, great. Okay so what is my plan of action, I'll go straight to Wesley, I'm sure he'll be surprised to see me, wait maybe I should go to Kela and Skyler first, no Wesley, I need to see Wesley... Nobody knows I'm coming though, its a complete surprise, so maybe the girls should find out first, but I miss Wesley, I'm seeing him first.

When I landed after the long flight I was extremely excited. I loved the feeling of the heat that California brings, even in December. I picked up my bags and took a taxi back home to Huntington Beach. "Home for the Holidays?" The taxi driver said to me. "Yeah, back from college in New York, my best friend is getting married on Christmas so I had to come home" I replied. "That's good, have a great Christmas ma'am" He said as he got to Huntington Beach. I paid him the fair and examined the beach. "Oh how I have missed this" I said aloud.

I made my way back to the familiar street where I used to live, wait what if Wesley is back at our old house, no he's probably back with Drew and Keaton. I walked and walked until I came towards their house. I placed my bags down and hesitated before I rang the doorbell. Waiting for a few minutes, I wondered was this a good idea. Suddenly the door opened and he answered the door. "Hey" I said politely. He was standing there, only in a pair of sweats staring at me like he'd seen a ghost. "Oh my gosh, Presley... w-what are you doing here" He stuttered which was not what I expected. "I need to sort things out with you Wesley, I really missed you, could we go inside and talk things over" I asked but he looked even more worried. "How about we stay out here, its so mu-" He stopped as a slim brunette appeared in one of Wesley's tops and nothing else. "Wes what is taking you so long babe" She said and I gave him a disgusted look. "Wow, you work fast" I said coldly walking away from him before the tears escaped from my eyes. "Presley wait, we need to talk" He yelled grabbing my arm and stopping MD from moving. "No you have to go, your barbie doll is waiting for you" I said tears threatening to escape from my eyes. "You're the one who said that we couldn't be together, you've been gone for three months" He yelled. "Yes but you said that you loved me, through everything we've been through, you can just throw it away over someone like her" I retaliated tears now streaming down my face. "Presley that's not what its like, by the way you said things to me, you had me convinced that me and you getting back together was inevitable! Presley I do still love you, I always will please don't walk away again, I'll get rid of her, you have to believe that she is the only one that I've slept with, and only once, Presley please hear me out" He begged, his eyes now glistening with tears.

"Wesley who is she, will you just come back to bed" I heard the girl shout but Wesley never took his eyes of mine. I sighed and faced him properly without his force.

"These next two weeks are about Skyler and Drew, I'm not gonna give them more things to worry about, they have a baby coming too so can we just leave our problems aside for the next few days until after the wedding" I asked him.

"Yeah, you're right, we'll just stay out of each others way" He replied as I nodded walking away from him. "You coming to the bonfire tonight?" He asked as I was walking. "I think that would be better than sitting home alone now don't you" I replied with a genuine smile. He replied with one to match.

I made my way to my old house and I got to the door I heard Kela and Drew having an argument as Skyler was telling them to shut up. I opened the front door and left my bags in the hallway and walked on into the kitchen still unnoticed. I leaned against the door frame and smiled.

"Is this the welcome home I get" I said causing everyone's attention to focus on me. "Oh my gosh" Skyler and Kela squealed in unison running towards me. "I can't believe you're back" Kela yelled as we all had a well deserved group hug. "I missed you guys" I said as we all started to get emotional. "Don't I get a hug too Pres?" Drew spoke up as I ran into his arms. "Why didn't you tell us you were coming home, we could have got you at the airport" Skyler fussed. "I wanted to surprise y'all" I replied. "You're looking amazing Sky, like you're glowing, pregnant really suits you" I commented as we all began to catch up.

"So let's show you your bridesmaids dress" Skyler said after she showed the girls her beautiful, off the shoulder, bohemian styled wedding dress. "So we were on a low budget so they're are not much but then we don't want much since its a beach wedding" Skyler explained showing us our dresses. "Sky they're so beautiful" I commented taking the dress in my hands. My hand ran along the pink silk, pleats in the beautiful dress. There was flowers as straps and the top of the dress crossed over on the chest area. "Oh they're amazing" Kela exclaimed hugging her dress. "Where's your dress" I asked. "Not showing, you can see on the day which is three days away oh my god!" Skyler said resting her hand on her baby bump. "When are you due again?" Kela asked. "May 2nd" She responded taking the dresses back. "We can worry about it later but tonight there is a bonfire and we're all going" Skyler informed everyone.

"Agh Kenny!!!" I screamed running to the tall dork who is also one of my vest friends I haven't seen in months.

"Presley Scott, I didn't know you were back in town" He said putting my small body down after hugging me.

"Well I wasn't gonna miss my best friends wedding now was I" I replied with a giggle.

I caught up with lots of friends I haven't seen in ages. I spotted Wesley too, every girl that walked his way he shot them down. I then laid my eyes on baby Stromberg. "Oh my gosh Keaton has grown so much" I said to Drew who was stood next to me. "I know, go say hi" He ordered pushing me to his direction. I ran up behind him wrapping my arms around him and he jumped. "Oh my god Presley!!" He screamed turning to hug me. "Hey Keats" I responded as we caught up. "How was X Factor, I saw the final, tried to watch the others but you know, busy with college" I admitted. "X Factor was amazing, such a great opportunity for us and I think were really going to make it" He replied. "But between you and me" He whispered telling closer to me. "I think Drew is having second thoughts about Emblem3, you know with the baby coming and all" He finished. I nodded in agreement, hoping he was wrong.

"So hows about we gather around the bonfire for a sing song" Someone yelled and people agreed. I sat under a blanket next to Kela and Martin. Drew and Skyler were cuddled together next to us, Keaton with his friends and Wesley across from me next to Keaton. "Right Wes, Keaton, Drew you're up" Kenny said. "Okay" Wesley said taking of his guitar followed by Drew and Keaton.

" Sometimes I lay, under the moon and thank God I'm breathing, and then I pray, don't take me soon, cause I'm here for a reason" Wesley sang, his voice melting my heart as his eyes never left mine throughout the verse.

"Sometimes in my tears I drown, I will never let it get me down, so when negativity surrounds, I know someday this will all turn around, Because" Drew an Keaton joined in as they sang in perfect Harmony.

"All my life I've been waiting for, I've been praying for, for the people to say, that we don't wanna fight no more, and there'll be no more wars, and our children will play

One day, One day, One day, One Day..." We all sang in unison, just like nothing had ever happened.
