So after about another hours of playing Halo Reach we crashed on the couch. It’s morning now. About seven. I wake up, noticing what time it is. And the fact that Mom never came home last night. Jeez.... Did I hurt her feelings that bad? Then I noticed what time it was.

“Crap! Guys! Get up!” I say. Stealing the pillows they were sleeping on and threw them at them.

“Gah!” Violet jumped up.

“Ugh.” Ryder got up.

“Guys! We gotta get ready. Look at the time.” I say. School starts at seven-fifteen. It is seven.

“Oh crap..” Violet said. “I don’t have other clothes.. This wasn’t exactly planned. OH CRAP! My dad doesn’t even know I came. Ohh he is gonna FLIP! Ohhhh! I hope he fed the dogs!”

“My parent’s are gonna freak. I was supposed to cook dinner last night!” Ryder said.

“Well, those are problems for later. I’m gonna go change real fast. Do you guys have other clothes at school or something?” I say.

“No.” Violet said.

“Me either.” Ryder says.

“Well I guess you are wearing that. Be right back!” I ran into my room to grab clothes. I grabbed them and changed. Outfit for the day is, Summer’s Life cut off t-shirt, showing my stomach, turquoise skinny jeans and my normal black high-top converse. I run out to the living room, trying to find my phone. I found it on the TV stand. I called Drake again. Having already missed the bus.

Wait a second.. Ryder has a car. Calling Drake was kind of a habit. “Guys! Let’s go! It is not exactly a short drive.” I said running down the stairs. Then realizing I had to lock the door. Then running back up. The girls had just come out of the apartment. I locked the door then practically jumped down the stairs to get in Ryder’s car. I got in.

“Let’s go!” Violet says from the back seat. Ryder starts the car and drives.

Let’s see how this day goes..

So we finally get to school. We are more than a little late. But no one seemed to notice.

Shows how much we are noticed around here. I thought. So we split to go to our classes. Then it got to lunch time. Let’s see how it goes this time.. I am looking around trying to find Ryder and Violet. Where are they? I couldn’t find them. I walked around a bit. I finally found them, sitting in a corner. I go over and sit with them.

“Hey guys. Can I sit with you?” I ask.

“Nooo. You can never sit with us.” Violet says. Her voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Haha, very funny.” I say, sitting down. I start eating my very small portion of food.

“That all your eating?” Ryder asked. Eyeing my food.

“Yea.. Why?” I say hesitantly. Both Ryder and Violet look concerned.

“Uh, Melody. Do you always eat this little?” Violet asked. Concern written all over her face and her words were strewn with it.

“Normally, yea. I never eat much.” I tell them. Here we go..

“That’s not healthy.” Ryder said.

“I know, I know. That’s not healthy. You shouldn’t do that. Trust me. I get it all the time. I don’t need it from you too.” I almost snapped. I kept it in this time though. They look at eachother then just go back to eating their food. I finish mine. Then I get up and rush out before Tori and friends notice me. At least today I don’t have pizza all over me.. Or Reed following me. I think I scared him. Oops. I saw Tori and friends just kinda standing in front of the door to my next class. Sh**. I don’t want to deal with them right now. I turned around. Too late.

“Hey! We didn’t get a chance to finish yesterday.” Tori says. Not very loud, but in these hallways, noise carries. Oh fun. I get to deal with them now.

“Oh? Finish what? I didn’t know anything started.” I say. I was trying to blow them off.

“Don’t play dumb. You had some things you wanted to say.” Tori.

“Not anymore. I don’t even give a sh**.”

“Hey, Tori! What’s up?” Reed walks up again. Seriously? Seriously. Him again? What the hell? I took the time to slip off. I left the school. Everything just hit me like a freaking semi-truck. I took off. I literally ran out. Tears starting to fall down my face again. No. No. Not now. I try to stop. I can’t stop. But I do calm down enough to send a text to Ryder and Violet. *Sorry guys. I ran out. Meet me at the park by the levy after school.* Then I called Drake. In hopes that he would give me a ride this time.

“Drake, I need a ride to the park. If you don’t come then I will just walk... Okay, thank you. I am waiting outside the school.” So I sat there, waiting for him to show. After about, twenty or so minutes. He finally shows up.

“Finally. I have been waiting forever.” I say as I get into the passenger seat. Wiping the tears off my cheeks. When I get in the car, I don’t even turn on Summer’s Life. So he can really tell there is something wrong.

“What’s up?” He asks. Trying to hide the concern.

“Nothing. I just had to get out of there. Get me to the park by my place.”

“Okay, I can do that.” He said. Then he was just quiet for the rest of the ride.

So we get to the park. He parked and let me out without a word said. Well he is in a fantastic mood.

“Thanks for the ride.” I said before I closed the door. I got no response and as soon as the door closed he drove off. Well then.. So I went and sat on a bench. It was so quiet. So I played some music on my phone. The first song that came up was Hero by Skillet. Oh the irony. I sat there. The music seemed to stop. The light seemed to fade. So I sat there on the bench, in silence and darkness. No. No. No! I stood up. I was covering my face. I was just standing there. I got dizzy. Nauseous. I fell to my knees. Then I blacked out...
