It was the next morning. I got up at six and texted Reed. *What time did you want to meet me?* Another immediate reply. *How about eight?* *That works.* I replied. Then I got one back. *See you then..* Not creepy at all.. nope not at all. I got ready. My outfit is, another Skillet cut off tee and skinny jeans with black high top converse. Welp. This is as good as it’s gonna get.

“Bye Harmony! I am going out! I’ll be back later!” I shouted to my sister.

“Whatever!” She shouted back. I rolled my eyes as I walked out. It is about a fifteen minute walk to the trail. I finally get there and it is exactly eight. I see Reed standing by a truck.

“Hey, Reed!” I say walking over.

“Oh, hey Melody!” He says. I only see one bike.

“Only one bike?” I ask.

“Oh, yea.. I only have one. I figured you wouldn’t mind.” He says.

“Not really. Can I drive?” I ask. I love driving these things.

“I don’t think so. This one is pretty powerful.” Whatever. You just want to look tough. I will let you have this one.

“Okay. I will let you drive. Let’s go?” He was already getting on the bike.

“You coming?” He asked. I jumped on. Gripping his waist so i didn’t fall back. You only make that mistake once... We got into the forest area. We got deep into the forest. He pulled off of the trail. Crap. Crap. Ryder I think you were right. And he hadn’t even gotten off of the bike yet. I think I heard small, quiet laughter. S***. S***. S***! He got off of the bike. Took off his helmet. His eyes were bloodshot. He pulled me off of the bike. I tried not to yelp. He pulled me close. Alcohol. He has been drinking. A lot. I steeled my face. Giving him no speaking material. He held me in place.

“Reed. What. The. Hell. Are. You. Doing?!” I say. I don’t scream. I know it won’t help.

“What do you think I’m doing? I’ve always wanted you Melody. But you rejected me.” He said. His voice and his face was so filled with desire.

“Reed. You’re a senior. I’m a freshman.”

“I don’t care. There is just something.. something about you.”

“Reed. Please, let me go.” I was not scared. This has happened before. Does not make it any more pleasurable.

“What? And let my Melody fade away?” Now he is getting corny.

“Reed-” I started. But my voice was muffled by his lips on mine. I started trying to push away. But he was strong. Only a single hand held behind my head. The other.. wandering. I kept pushing away. Trying to at least. I finally gave. I stopped pushing. For now. Just let him have his fun. But do not let it go too far. He pulled away and said things I am not going to mention. He pulled us up against a tree and kinda slid down till we were sitting. Still holding me in place. I didn’t know what I was going to do. It was too far off the trail for anyone to find us. I was actually getting scared. Tears started to come to my eyes. How could I be so stupid as to let this happen again? Melody you are so stupid. Why would you leave your phone a this truck with your bag!? Stupid. Stupid! He could apparently feel the tears falling down my cheeks. He pulled away.

“What’s wrong Melody?” He asked.

“You b****. Let me go.”

“You know what? Fine. Run. Hide. I will find you again Melody White. You will be mine.” Good luck with that. He let me go. I shot up and took off toward the trail. Crap! He has a bike. I am on foot. This is not gonna end well. I heard his engine come to life.

“You still near Melody?” He called. S***. S***! I ran even faster. He got nearer. I got to his truck, flew by, grabbed my bag and ran to the park. At least people will be able to see me there. I got to the park. Tears falling down my face. I could hear his truck turn on. I called Drake.

“Drake! Oh my gosh, Drake. Please come and get me. I am at the park by my place. I don’t want to be here long. Please... Thank you!” I hung up. Drake will be here soon. Drake will be here soon. I kept telling myself. He got there five minutes later. He got out of his truck. Saw me on the bench, crying my eyes out.

“Melody?” I jumped up, ready to run. Then saw it was Drake. I ran to him and clung to his neck the way Harmony had a couple nights ago. He pulled me down. “What happened? Why did you need me here so fast?” I kept crying.

“Reed. It was Reed. We were biking on the trail, he stopped and-”

“You don’t have to say any more. Did he?” I shook my head.

“Didn’t get the chance. He let me go for some reason. But he said that he was gonna find me again. He said he was gonna do it again!” I burst into tears again.

“It’s okay. He won’t get the chance. Wanna go to your place and play some Halo?” He asked.

“Sure..” Melody. How could you! How could you let it happen again!? I kept scolding myself. I knew one thing for sure though. It wasn’t gonna happen again.
