So we got to my apartment. We walk inside, mom isn’t home. As usual. Harmony was playing the X-Box 360.

“Who are they?” She asks, glancing back.

“Friends. Hey, stay out of the room for a while. Got it?” I tell her.

“Whatever.” She replies. Then she continues to play Halo 4. I show the girls to my bedroom. My room is really small with bunk beds in the upper right corner. There is a desk in the upper left corner. Right across from the bed. At the foot of the bed there is a closet.

“Whoa.. there is a lot in here for a small room.” Violet said.

“Yea.. I know.” I say. I have the top bunk of the bed. There is a Summer’s Life poster on the ceiling and pictures all over my wall area. Then more posters covering the walls. Along with some drawings I have done.

“So where is your mom?” Ryder asked as she gaped at my drawings and posters. Violet kinda just walked around and looked at them.

“Work... she is most likely working late again.”

“So you are home alone with her all the time?” Violet asked.

“Yea...”

“I wouldn’t know the feeling.” Ryder piped up. “My mom is always home cause my dad is the one that works. Plus I have two siblings. A younger sister and a older brother.” Ryder explains.

“Wow.. I don’t have any siblings.. My mom died when I was two..” Violet said.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” Ryder said.

“It’s okay. I have gotten over it over the years. So where is your laptop?” She said. Changing the subject

“Oh, in the closet. I lock it away when I am not home.” I say. “I don’t want anyone messing with it.”

“I get that. Did you do all of these drawings?” Ryder asked.

“Huh? Oh, yea. I did all of them. Including this. I am still working on it.” I pull out a poster  sized paper. It had one huge sketch of Chase Wisse. The lead singer of Summer’s Life, and my favorite person in the world.. Ryder and Violet gaped at it.

“Holy crap that’s awesome!” Violet shrieked.

“Whoa, that is amazing!” Ryder said.

“It could be better. But thanks.” I said smiling as I put it away.

“How long has that taken you?” Ryder asked.

“About two months. Off and on.” I said. Drawings like that don’t magically complete in a day.

“So, how long do you think we can stay?” Violet asks.

“As long as you want I guess. Wanna go play the X-box?” I say.

“Yea, what games you got?” Ryder asks.

“I will have to show you. They are mainly the Halo games...” I said.

“Halo? Really? Do you have a brother?” Violet. Again with the, do you have a brother? Just because I play Halo..

“No. I like the games. Harmony! Off the X-box! My turn!” I shout to Harmony.

“No! You had it yesterday!” She shouts back.

“Harmony! Off! Now!” I shouted.

“No!” She yells back at me.

“Grrr, one moment girls.” I say as I walk out to the living room. I yank the controller out of Harmony’s hand. “Harmony Skye White get your a** off of the couch and go to the room right now!”
