“Melody!” I hear someone scream. Sounds like Violet. I can’t seem to move though. Or open my eyes. I just felt stuck.

“Melody! Are you ok?” Another person. Ryder I’m guessing. I feel my body get pulled up. Why would you ask if I was ok? I am passed out on the ground! I try to say. But I can’t. I just can’t get the words out.

“We gotta call someone. Her mom? No..” Violet panicked.

“Dude, what do you think we should call? A person is passed out. In a park.” Ryder said.

“Oh yea. Call it! I am gonna see if I can get her awake.” Violet said. Then she started saying stuff to try to get me to wake up. Don’t you think I would if I could? I was trying as hard as I could to wake myself up. Trying to open my eyes. I haven’t blacked out like this since I was eleven. Why now? When I least expect it, and least want it to happen. I felt my semi-consciousness start slipping away. No! Try to stay up, Melody. Try to stay up! Trying to coach myself didn’t work. I slipped out again.

I woke up in the hospital. Crap. Crap. Crap. I kept thinking. I saw Violet, Ryder, Drake and my mom all in the room. Crap. Crap. Crap. Wait why is Drake here?

“She’s awake!” Violet said to my mom. Who walked out to the hallway. Really? Why is she in the hallway? I am her daughter and I’m in the hospital. Could have died. And she sits in the hallway. Love you too mom..

“Hey, you ok?” Ryder said to me.

“Yea, good enough. Can I leave?” I say. I had to get out of the hospital. I was getting a bad feeling. I hate hospitals.

“No. Dude, we found you passed out in a park.” Violet said, coming back into the room.

“I know. I’m fine now. Please get them to let me leave. Or I swear I will just walk out.”

“I am not gonna get them to release you.” Violet said.

“Fine then.” I took out whatever needles or tubes they had in me and I just got up. I was still in my normal clothes so I just walked out. At first I kinda walked like a newborn calf but after a few steps I was fine. Then I just kept walking like I knew what I was doing. I didn’t really know. I got out to the parking lot. Then someone grabbed my shoulder. I tried to pull away without looking back. I had a feeling I knew who it was.

“Melody. Stop.” I knew it.

“What, Drake? What do you want?”

“You just walked out of the freaking hospital! You don’t even know what’s wrong with you!” He almost yelled.

“Calm down. You don’t need to shout. I am fine. This used to happen to me back when I was eleven. It’s nothing new.”

“Well why is it happening again? Why now? After such a long time?”

“Drake, I am fine. Take me home?”

“Fine. Text your friends so they don’t freak.” He said.

“I am telling them to go home.” I said. *Hey, guys. Sorry I just walked out. Go ahead and just go home. Since there is no school tomorrow if you want you can come to my place.* I got a reply about five minutes later. *Ok, we will both be there.*

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So we finally got to my place. Mom was not home yet. If she comes home at all tonight. Harmony was there though. Why would mom leave her here alone?? She was crying.
