We had finally landed in Thailand on a beautiful day. The sky was blue with no clouds in sight. We got off the plane and got our bags and were greeted by a young woman. Her name was Elisabeth. She helped us get to our hotel and helped check in to our room. Soon later a man around 20 years old took our bags and showed us to our room. As we walked there I saw many colourful gardens and clear water pools with people in them having fun like there was no tomorrow. We also walked past the beach. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen.
Soon after we arrived at our room. It was more like a rented house to be honest. Maddy and Daniel were the first in as they always are in a hotel. Daniel went straight to their bed room to get the bed she wanted, Maddy chased after him. After that I could hear Maddy shout “I was here FIRST this is my bed!” and Daniel said what any child in an argument would say, like that “NO it’s mine”. Then Peter charged into their room and tackled them both on to the beds and said “Maddy, you’re here and Daniel, you’re here”. They both tried to interrupt but were stopped by being tickled. Alex just waited until Peter was out of the room, and then jumped on the bed that was left. I just continued unpacking whilst giggling to myself. “Why does this always happen when we go to a hotel?” Peter askes me. “How would I know?” I replied. We both laughed.
Later that evening after dinner Maddy, Daniel and Alex were in bed Peter and I sat on our patio and stared at the moon hovering over the crystal blue sea. Before we when to bed we got the last of the Christmas presents and put them under a plant outside on our patio. “Finally all done. Time to sleep" I say to myself quietly.
