I remember sitting in this rusty old truck trailer with my on a large plank of wood. Our journey was very rough. Mum had fallen asleep. I stood up and held on to the top of the truck and look around. I could see many people in truck like us but some I could see were just bodies. I guessed that they were dead bodies the way they had been piled up. I tried to see if maybe they could be dad, Alex or Daniel but it was hard to tell. They was also people on the road I even saw this guy with a long beard walking alone the road naked. I could understand why. The wave was so strong I almost lost my shorts. I sat down again.

I remember looking at myself and thinking how dose my cuts not hurt as much as I thought they would I mean I had a slit in my head. I remember lying down in the truck and watching the sun set and thinking about dad and my brothers and if I would ever see them again. Tears started dripping for my eyes. I remember seeing them that morning when we sneaked out of our room trying no to walk mum up and yesterday everything was perfect. Having Christmas in a different country, getting my presents and dinner last night with the lanterns at the beach. It was greatandwewouldneverexpectedthistohappen, meandmum in apickuptruckwondering if l would ever see my dad or brothers ever again. I always thought my brothers were the worst thing ever. But now I would do anything to see them again. I never thought this morning could well be the last time I would ever see them.  By now the sun had set and the stars were out. I just stared at them and I slowly fell asleep.
