“Hold on to the log!” I shout. As the wave came closer I prepared myself to hold on to the log. Finally the wave came I took a deep breath and as the water hit us I held on to the log as tight as I could. I couldn’t see if Isabel was there or not.
When the water had calm down I got to the surface and I was still in the log but Isabel wasn’t. The log was still floating down the river the wave made. In a pile of debris, was Isabel lying there. I couldn’t see if she was dead or alive. I shouted “Isabel? Isabel?” Her head turned and looked at me, I let go of the log and swam to her. She started to get the debris of her body. When I reached her she was already siting up looking like nothing happened. “Are you ok?” Isabel said. “Yeah I’m fine I was about to ask you the same question” I said back.
Isabel started to look around and said “maybe one of us could climb that tree over there and see if there’s a road or something”. I looked at the tree and said “yeah that’s a good idea Isabel, come on lets go” So we headed to the tree.
