Nico walked out of the shadow into the room where all the Avengers were seated.

"Care to explain yourself?" Steve asked.

"Yeah yeah, I'll get to that. It's hard to know where to start I'm technically not supposed to do this and making it so you will believe me will be even harder."Nico snapped at him, pacing the floor. "Ok so what do you know of Greek mythology?"

"Not much"

"Nothing"

"I have had no studies of such mythology"

"Jarvis pull up a presentation of greek mythology" Tony said. Jarvis did as asked and soon enough the Avengers were watching a presentation on the basics of greek mythology. Nico, being the ADHD demigod that he was, was playing with the shadows in his hands, bouncing and twirling them from hand to hand. Finally when it was over they turned back to Nico, who had since stopped playing with the shadows.

"So what exactly was the point of that?" Natasha asked.

"The point was that, for the most part, it's all real." Nico said to stunned Avengers, "The god's exist and sometimes they come down from Olympus and fall in love with mortals. I am a result of one of those affairs, I'm a demigod."

"Demigods were said to have died out long ago on this planet." Thor said

"Well most of them did die out in Greece. However the gods moved with Olympus to the most advanced society. So very few remained where you would typically have seen demigods but they still exist." Nico said, glad that they were taking him seriously. And then Tony Stark ruined his mood

"I don't believe you. How can they exist people would have discovered them. SHIELD, CIA, somebody."

"No agency of any kind has ever discovered demigods because of the mist it separates the mythical world from the mortal one. Apparently all of you can see through a majority of the mist, which is very rare, because you saw the cyclopes."

"Ok even if what you are saying is true. Why are you here?" Clint asked.

"He is here because I sent him here.", a cold, bone chilling voice called from the shadows. Hades himself stepped out of the shadows darkening the room.

"Father" Nico said bowing. The Avengers following his lead bowed as well.

"I have sent my son here to assist you in your conquest against the new form of monster." Hades said to the Avengers. Turning to his son, "I expect a quick success. Do do not disappoint me again, or perhaps I shall assign you to your last failed mission." Nico palled at the thought and replied "No father I shall not disappoint."

"I should hope not. Do not ever ask for my assistance on a quest again, you know the consequences." Hades glared at Nico. "Sorry for my incompetence, Lord Hades." Nico said once again sinking into a bow. His part said Hades disappeared back into the shadows.

"So beside your father who was that?" Tony, oblivious as always, asked.

"That was the greek god Hades" Surprisingly Thor answered.

"Yeah, so now that you meet him, do you believe me now?" Nico asked.

"Yes we believe you" Natasha said taking a seat on the couch and motioning for the others to follow. "but why does he treat you like that?"

"Yeah my dad was bad but he was never that bad" Tony added.

"You have to understand, based on your interactions with Thor I can guess that Asgardian gods are nothing like Greek or Roman gods." Nico said turning to Thor, "If you were to bring a human to Asgard and proclaim that you loved her, What would your father do?"

"He has disapproved of her but allowed our affections to continue." Thor answered, thinking back to when he took Jane Foster to Asgard.

"See that's the difference if any Greek or Roman demigod were to fall in love with a mortal and bring their lover to meet their godly parent. Most Gods would disapprove and they would kill the lover, possibly even the demigod. In fact if any demigod does anything that even slightly displeases any god, major or minor, anywhere they risk their lives." Nico said, dead serious.

"What, that's crazy!" Bruce said.

"Wouldn't the parent protect their child?" Natasha asks.

Nico gave a cold laugh at the thought of his father begging, other gods, specifically Zeus and Poseidon, not to kill him. "It's not like that. If a demigod has 'failed' by angering another god, than most gods or goddesses let their child take the punishment, If keeps their huge egos in tact. Most of them have enough kids it doesn't matter." At the word ego clouds built up around the tower. Thunder shook the building causing everyone but Thor and Nico to fall to the ground.

"Thor was that you?" Tony asked, glaring at the Asgardian.

"It was not I."

"No that was Zeus, king of the gods and the biggest drama queen in existence." Nico said. Thunder shook the building again, and lightning flashed angrily.

"Aren't you scared he'll kill you. You certainly seemed to have displeased him." Natasha asked.

"No I'm fine. You see being a child of the big three; Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon; makes your demigod life even more complicated. If Zeus were to kill me just because I said something he didn't like. My father, Hades would see it as a challenge and then World War 3 would start."

"World War? " Steve asked.

""Yeah World War 2 was a big grudge match between 2 sons of Poseidon and Zeus against a Son of Hades, even the gods got involved. If I or any of my immediate cousins, Jason, Thalia, or Percy, were to die at the hands of one of the big three the world would see chaos and destruction not seen since World War 2." Nico said.

"That's a lot of pressure" Clint said.

Nico shrugged, "It's just the life of a demigod."
