Amanda's pov
Tell them!
No way!
It won't work with those papers!
Maybe it will work with those papers!
You and me both know it won't!
I ignored the voice in my head and got in the car. It was dead silent. Emmi and I shared earbuds and waited. We finally made it and we all got out of the car. The closer I got to the building, the more guilt built up in me.
I messed up, big time!
In The Building
We all sat down. Maya and Emmi were in the waiting room as Mr. Hunter, Ms. Katy, and I sat in the boring room with this lady.
"Ok, I'll just need to see the papers." she said. Mr. Hunter showed her the papers and she typed something into the computer.
"Where are the rest of them?" she asked.
"Those are all of them." Ms. Katy said.
My heart was pounding.
I bit my lip.
I messed up!
Please don't say it!
"The foster care papers?" she questioned. Mr. Hunter and Ms. Katy gave her a confused look. I slouched down in my seat.
"She's a foster kid." she said. Their eyes widened.
Oh no.
