Tate ~
Another first day, new school, new faces, same story, exactly like every other time it seemed. She didn't plan on staying long, she knew that she would leave soon, but I didn't. It was late September, school had only started less than two months ago. But everyone was already in their places. There was mine, the back right-hand corner of the classroom. The blonde infront of me that's Alice, my twin sister, her hair was in a tight french braid as she frantically wrote everything that was on the board, word for word. There was a small knock and the door opened slowly, I was staring at the phone in my lap when I heard Alice gasp. I looked up, my eyes found a new face, pale skin, freckles across the nose and cheeks, long curly strawberry blonde hair, slightly defined cheekbones, she pushed a small piece of her hair behind her ear and looked up, the sun hit her dark brown eyes and they turned gold. I was memorized, "I'm Sabrina, I think I'm in this class now" her accent was slightly hispanic and hinted at a southern background, she handed her schedule to the old man behind the desk and he quickly looked it over, "yes, find an empty seat" her firelite eyes scanned the room, they stopped on me and she starred for a minute the eye contact was awkward but I couldn't break it. She began to walk towards me and sat in the desk next to mine. "I'm Alice" Alice was smiling braces and all, "Sabrina" she smiled back but her teeth were perfect. "This is Tatum, but he goes by Tate." Alice was pointing at me, she didn't seem shy but not scared either not nerves like she'd done this all before. ,"Tell us about yourself " Sabrina looked a little surprised but her expression quickly returned to blank, "I move a lot, you and I won't know each other for long, I'll be surprised if I stay till Christmas." Alice turned back in her seat and didn't say another word, "are you always this rude?" I smirked at Grey as she pushed her short brown wavy hair out of her grey blue eyes and she looked back at Sabrina, "excuse me?" I cut in, "the way you talked to Alice" she smirked at me, "I wasn't being rude, just honest" Grey rolled her eyes, "al just don't talk to Strawberry Shortcake again."
Within a week Alice had befriended Strawberry Shortcake forcing Grey and I to hang out with her. "Why does she always have to pick the stray aways?" I couldn't help but laugh a little "hell if I know, maybe because it worked so well with you." Grey's jawline clenched and I knew she was coming. "No, it was creepy" Sabrina's loud laughter filled the air, "he was like Alice see me after class" she wiggled her eyebrows as she took her seat infront of mine. Her hair was in a messy side braid and she was playing with the curls on the bottom nervously, I leaned closer to her and whispered, "you okay kiddo?" She gulped and her body seemed to stiffen, "yup" her voice broke "I'm fine" I leaned back grey and alice were starting at the air between Sabrina and i, that's when Grey smirked, "Back to yesterday's conversation" I groaned, "seriously? Do we have to?" She nodded happily, "Why are you failing Spanish?" I nodded, "that's easy just cheat off a Mexican" Alice shook her head frantically, "you can't cheat! Sabrina is fluent, get her to help you" Grey began to laugh hysterically, I thought about it and decided the best thing to do is beg, Sabrina looked into my pleading puppy dog eyes and I could see her caving, "fine, I guess I can help you" I smiled, "we can meet up before school tomorrow." I couldn't help but feel excited.
