Tate~
I just stood there silently staring at her, she'd left her dark brown hair in its natural curls today and I knew that this was a conversation neither of us would enjoy, "I'm sorry Grey." She laughed lightly, "Don't do that Tate, please. Don't look at me with your big, sad, sympathetic blue eyes and make me feel like it's my fault." It wasn't, she'd been going through this for a long time and I'd been leading her on. "That's not what I want. I want you to be angry with me, yell at me, hit me, throw things, tell me you hate me. You and I have been best friends for so long and I didn't want to hurt you. But I want her and no one else. I'm sorry, I wish I loved you the way you love me." Tears began to fall from her grey eyes and it felt like she'd ripped my heart out. I wrapped my arms around her small body and let her cry into my chest, her hands were holding her face and I don't think I've ever felt worse. "Greyson." She just continued to cry as I pet her hair, "I'm so sorry." After a few minutes of her not slowing down I began to pull away, she grabbed my arms and looked at me with her tear stained eyes, "Please don't leave me." I wanted to stay and cry with her, I felt so guilty, but I knew if I stayed it'd only hurt more, "I have to go." She nodded and cupped my cheeks, "I love you, but if she can't I won't be waiting on you. I don't want to wait anymore Tatum." I kissed her forehead lightly, "Don't." She smiled and wiped her tears, "I love you Grey, thank you for being my best friend." She laughed emptily, "I love you too buddy." That was when I walked away and the moment the door closed I could hear her crying out loud. I pressed my back against the door and slid down putting my face in my palms. Sitting there I let my own tears flow listening to Grey do the same.
"Tate are you okay?" I looked up Alice looking more worried than usual as she played with the ends of her curled blonde hair, "I talked to Grey." She nodded, "I know, she called." She batted her long black eyelashes and her emerald green eyes focused on me, "is she okay?" She nodded again swirling her black straw in a cup of iced tea,"She's fine." Even though I didn't believe her completely, hearing it made relaxing a little easier. Alice's attention turned to the entrance behind me, "guys." Alex slid into the booth while Alice made room for her. Her big curly hair was tossed up in a messy ponytail and her face had no trace of makeup, but she never wears makeup. "I don't know what to do I'm freaking out. I don't know how this is possible...." I cut her off, "Alex stop, take a deep breathe, relax, slow down, and explain." She sat there in silence for about half a second, "okay, you two are looking for Rutha Allen right?" Alice looked over at her in shock, "I found her daughter." Alex looked around before she continued, "Rutha Allen got married in 1997, to a Puerto Rican man in the United States Army. They had their second child only months later, a girl. Then a few years after their third child they divorced. The husbands name, Javar Santanna." I shook my head, "But Rutha is one of you and Javar is..." She stopped me, "she's a witch he's a wolf yeah." Alice looked at me, "Javar is Sabrina's dad. Sabrina Santanna is Seth Allen." I frantically shook my head, "No, she would have told me." Alex rolled her eyes, "Obviously she doesn't know." Alice grabbed my wrist trying to comfort me, "So is she a witch or a wolf?" Alice looked at Alex and I looked up, "Both?" She wasn't moving, none of us were. I knew she was telling the truth it all added up. Sabrina Santana was the answer to the beginning or the end.
