Tate ~
"You left her waiting for you to come out of the bathroom?" I nodded slowly, my face turned red with embarrassment. I watched Alice's hand reach up to hit me in the forehead and I let her. "You could have told her you had to leave. But no she waited all day for you!" I knew ditching her was wrong especially after everything she told me. "I know" she groaned, "why can't we tell her? Grey knows" Alice laughed at me, "and risk her freaking out and telling?" For a moment I didn't have an issue with the idea. "I don't think she will" Alice tucked a piece of her dirty blonde hair behind her ear, "tate, not yet, things might change with time but please don't fall for her." I'd never thought about that, of course I liked her, the more time I spent with her the more comfortable I got, but love isn't my style. "Oh please" she took a sip from the water bottle in he hand, "you better not hurt her." She looked almost angry but worried all in one, "Alice." She looked up at me, "yeah?" I gulped playing with my fingernails, "I'm sorry it's like this" she shrugged "it isn't your fault tatum" I nodded and hugged my knees to my chest, "I know, but I could have made it easier" she shook her head, "nothing is easy. I like being different." I couldn't help but smile a little, "so did mom" she grinned, "you're more like mom. I was always jealous of that. You've always been so emotionally put together, stronger in every way possible, so undefined and carefree" her smile grew, "thank you but I will never be as strong and brave as she was." We sat silent for awhile just taking in the smell of pine around us and remembering the better days of our dark past.
"How are you feeling today?" Medium length bleach blonde hair, hazel eyes, very defined features, darkly tanned skin, "better." Alice sat up looking around the livingroom of the small brick house, "gran, thank you for locking us in" she smiled, "Alicia don't call me gran, makes me feel old" I laughed, "dorthy you kind of are." She rolled her eyes at me, "but I don't look old" dorthy is our great-grandmother, she only looks 30 but that was just part of the curse, she won't age until Alice and I are in control. "You did better this time, both of you" it didn't feel like it, "Tate, you've grown" it didn't matter right now I just wanted to leave. "I'm gonna call Grey" Alice left the room leaving me with dorthy, "what's wrong?" I shrugged, "just ready, for it to be normal. I'm tired of having to run to the woods and hide all of the time. I want to be able to have a, I don't know." She held my hand in hers, "honey, it will be soon, you're learning, I'm sorry I haven't made it go away yet." I gave her a small smile, "thanks." She ran her hand down my face and walked towards the kitchen. "Grey and Sabrina are going to meet us in town for lunch."
