I tried to wave over one of the multiple taxis driving past us, treating us like we were invisible. After numerous failed attempts to literally catch a ride, I gave up. I sat on the bench just beside the road and sighed, replaying that intimate moment with Harry in my mind. My thoughts were interrupted by Natalie, who was now occupying the space next to me. I showed a weak smile and she grinned.
"How are you so calm! I'm practically pulling my hair out!" She joked. I looked down and nervously tapped my purple flats against the pavement.
"Oh I get it," she cheekily smiled, "you miss Harry." My heart jumped at the sound of his name. She knew all of my weak spots.
"Haha, I guess I do." I laughed. Suddenly, my head jolted up as a black car stopped in front of us. I glanced at Kyah, with a shocked look on her face. The tinted windows began to descend revealing a grinning man. Natalie firmly squeezed my hand. Ouch! She was really strong and she knew it.
"Hello ladies! I'm Paul Higgins." Said Paul, smiling broadly. Kyah jumped with excitement, causing her hair to sway from left to right. I cocked my head to the side in confusion. I wonder why Paul's here?
"Paul! What brings you here!" Kyah asked curiously, reading my mind. Natalie released her steel grip from my throbbing hand as I stood up from the chair.
"The boys sent me, told me to look out for three young girls, all impeccably dressed of course." He says laughing. His laugh was warm, contrasting from the cold weather. He reminded me of my dad. I frowned at the thought while rubbing my sore fingers.
"You're the girls I'm looking for, right? I can recognize you, Jasmine. You and Harry cause quite a riot at the concert." He tells to me. I played with my hair, twisting it between my cold fingers like I did at the concert.
"Yeah it's probably us, haha!" I smiled. Paul seemed subtly amused by my nervousness.
"Come, hop in!" Paul said, causing Natalie to giggle. Kyah enters the car first, just as the automatic windows slide back up. I complied, entering the large, dark car. The car was probably dark to stop fans, like us, from seeing what's hidden inside. Natalie gets off the bench and skips to the car, before quickly entering. Being inside this car reminded me of how cold it actually was outside.
"You know, it's not like the boys to ask me to pick up just any random girls. I think Harry fancies you, Jasmine." He says, starting the car. I smile and buckle my seat belts along with Kyah and Natalie.
"Where are we heading?" Paul asks. I fiddle with my bag, expecting someone else to answer.
"It's the big building with the apartments about ten minutes from here." Natalie explains, sensing my anxiety.
"Oh, the one owned by the Bradey family?" Paul asked Natalie.
"Yeah!" Kyah says, interrupting happily, "that's my family!" I laughed at Kyah's lovable happiness.
"Haha, ok! We should be there soon." Paul told us, "So.. You may be wondering why I'm here?"
We all nodded, thinking about what he's going to say next.
"Well, the boys take a fancy to you girls and they wanted me to ask you on a date for them. What do you say?" Paul smiles but manages to keep his eyes on the road.
"Yes! Where to?" I squealed, just a bit too loudly.
"Ah, now that's the thing. I can't tell you girls but I will come tomorrow to pick you up. They wanted it to be a surprise." He replies.
"But-" I try to say before being interrupted.
"I know it's all on such a short notice but the boys are keen to get to know you. Harry's said he's seen you around in that bakery you work in." Paul explains.
Oh yeah. The bakery. Natalie's parents live in London and own a small amount of bakeries across England. Natalie and I work together in the same bakery making delicious delicacies along with our coworkers. My personal favorite would probably be the chocolate éclairs.
"So I'll pick you girls up at.. Two thirty?" Paul asks us questioningly, taking a sharp right turn causing me to slide in my seat, closer to Kyah.
"Sounds alright, guys?" Natalie asks, turning towards Kyah and I.
"Argh, I'll have to wake up early!" Kyah laughs. I laugh along with her. I loved the fact that she could always make me smile so easily.
"Haha, I'm good with that time." I tell Natalie, watching cars speed past us through the left window.
"Ok, Paul. You have a deal. We'll see you at two thirty." Natalie tells him as he parks in front of our apartment building. We're here already!
"Haha, see you soon girls!" Paul says, bidding us farewell as we step out of the car. I trembled as a cold gust of wind came over me. I waved goodbye and give Natalie a big hug as Paul drove away before hugging Kyah shortly after.
"AH! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?" I say to Kyah, jumping around her.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, OH MY GOD! THIS IS SO EXCITING IT'S LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE!" Kyah replies and joins me to jump around Natalie.
"Guys, calm down. You're making me dizzy." Natalie says in an attempt to calm us. We continued jumping around her, ignoring her requests.
"Jump with us, Nat!" I begged. We've just been asked out by a huge boyband and Natalie's just standing there.
"I can't help it!" She laughs as she joins us, ridiculously jumping around gleefully. People around us stare at us. I don't really care. If they knew what just happened they'd probably be jumping around too!
After all of the excited skipping and dancing we enter our the building. I wave to Molly, still standing at the front desk looking exactly like she was before, and took an elevator with the girls to our apartments.
We finally arrive on the top floor and go our separate ways, exchanging long, literally breathtaking, hugs before leaving. I open my door and jump onto the bed landing face down into the warm pillow, relaxing for a bit. I then, quickly sat up, kicked my shoes off and pulled the warm jumper off, revealing my bare skin. I carefully took the crown of flowers off of my head, messing up my hair in the process, and placed it onto the bedside table. I shuffled through my bag looking for my iPhone. As I felt the cool object I pulled it out of my bag to check the time. The device displayed 6:24 in bold numbers.
'I might sleep early today.'
I thought, taking a deep breath before collapsing face down into the pillow, falling asleep as soon as I felt its soft material.
