dude guys my wattpad went all freaky. I had a full chapter and then I actually look at it and BAM. It's cut off. wtf wattpad. anyways, I'm editing it...

I hadn’t told anyone, but I was kind of worrying about the other night. I knew I had said something out of place.

How did I know this? Two reasons. One, I had a memory tugging at the edge of my mind. And two, Nattie was avoiding me.

Not really anything new. It wasn’t like we saw each other non-stop,but I knew he was avoiding me. I had seen him avoid Will that one time after he thew his espresso on him. I  knew the signs.

I just wish I knew why.

“Did you throw your hot chocolate on him?”

I hung my head upside down over the couch and gave her a Look.

“No.”

Emily nodded. “Just thought I’d ask; I mean, that’s what happened last time.”

“It was a fair question.”

We both nodded.

“So what do you think you did?”

“God knows. And men think we’re confusing! Please.”

“I know!”

I shrugged. “I have some ideas.”

“Like what?”

I eyed her. I wasn’t sure if I should tell her or not.

“Well…”

“Come on, you can tell me.”

I crumbled and told her everything.

And by everything, I mean everything.

I have to admit, she was a good listener. She didn’t interrupt me once.

I finished up with the night a couple days ago and how I thought I had said something.

To my surprise, she laughed.

“Oh, Amy, are you completely oblivious?”

I frowned, crossing my arms. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

Emily shook her head, smiling gently. “The way he looks at you.”

I hoisted myself up right. “Nate told me that, too. But I don’t see any particular way he looks at me. Just, you know, normal.”

“There’s absolutely nothing normal about you two.”

“Oh god, tell me about it.”

She laughed again. “No, I don’t mean that- though that is pretty weird. I mean you guys have this dynamic. Everyone can see it.”

“A ‘dynamic’?”

“Yeah. I can’t explain it, but it’s special.”

Special dynamic, my ass.

“Yeah okay Emily.”

She rolled her eyes. “You don’t believe me.”

“Nope.”

She shook her head. “Maybe you’ll see it someday.”

“Yeah, maybe.”

We chatted for a minute more before she left.

I stared blankly at the wall, her words ringing on repeat in my head.

The way he looks at you…
