"Are you hungry?" Demi looked at Dayna while she stared the house down in awe. The girl would stop at several photos and go to open her mouth but would soon shake the words away.

"I'm fine" she sent Demi a soft yet weak smile but it wasn't ten seconds later that Demi heard the girls stomach grumble, only causing the young girls cheeks to flush red.

Demi sighed "well I'm starving" she lightly chuckled "and I'm not taking no for an answer.. You must be hungry, you were outside all night.. Right?" Demi asked unsure and Daynas eyes fluttered down to floor before giving a weak nod.

Demi didn't reply but began to make waffles for the two of them. Dayna had found a seat at the kitchen counter and watched shyly as Demi whizzed around the place. She was completely taken back by Demi and the house that even if she was to speak she wouldn't be able to get a coherent sentence out... Or so she thought.

Demi had been waiting for the waffles, an awkward silence in the kitchen and Dayna saw the older girls eyes look to the birth certificate on the counter. Demi sighed and shook her head lightly before going to retrieve the cooked waffles.

Dayna sighed at Demi's action and chewed on her lip before mumbling "you don't believe me"

"What?" Demi looked up not certain on what the girl had said. She had been so wrapped up in her thoughts that she almost forgot the girl was there.

"You don't believe me.. You think I'm lying!" She sounded sad and Demi couldn't help the sigh that escaped her lips.

Demi had come to the conclusion that this girl knew who Demi and her family were all along and planned to seek them out for help or the young girl is either mentally sick and doesn't even know what's happening around her... Either way Demi will help her if it means that Dayna will end up safe.

"Sweetheart I can't" Demi placed her hands on the counter "you're what 16? I'm 20.. I would have been 4 when my mother was pregnant, Dallas would have been 8. We would have known if she was pregnant.." Demi gave her a sympathetic look.

"You have a sister?" Was the only question Dayna asked.. Demi felt like she shouldn't have been telling her these things.. Because if Dayna was sick and believed she was somehow apart of this family Demi would only be feeding her more information but yet she said "yes"

" There's Dallas.. Her parents are the same as mine.. And Madison.. Maddie is my half sister. Her father is my my step dad Eddie. He's married to my mother now"

"What happened to Patrick?" She asked in confusion and Demi took a deep breath.. Her father's recent passing still difficult for her

"He passed away" Demi said sadly "not that long ago" Demi watched as the young girl frowned and looked down at the counter.. She didn't seem upset more angry than anything.

"Sorry" she said softly

"Can I ask you something?" Demi said quiet nervous as she handed Dayna her food. Dayna gave a small 'thank you' and nodded at Demi hesitantly.

"Why-how- what makes you think that Diana is your mother?" Demi didn't really know how to ask sensitively so she just put it out there.

Dayna swallowed some of the food she had eaten and looked Demi straight in the eyes before looking away again "uh-my mother.. She told me I was adopted.. She kind of just let it slip.. Well on purpose" Demi was confused but stayed quiet "uh, she was angry at me and we'll she wanted to hurt me .. I don't know but yeah she told me about two years ago and I found my adoption certificate.. I would have brought it but she kind of tore it up" Dayna shook her head as if the memories were causing her pain "but when I found them I began looking for more.. I found my birth certificate and that's when I started looking.. Your name had often popped up but I pushed it aside because I didn't think much of it.. I guessed that there were tons of Diana Lovato's.. And besides your mothers name is De LA Garza now so it never really occurred to me that it was the same woman until..."
