chapter 14. Home

"hey sweetheart" dayna had just gotten home from the airport. Marissa had dropped her off but left straight away.

"hey" dayna smiled wide as she was engulfed in a big hug by diana.

"i missed you" she kissed her head.

"i missed you too" she sighed taking in the familiar smell of Diana's perfume. She only realised now how much she'd missed her.

"how was your flight? Did you sleep?"

"it was fine but no, not one bit"

"why don't you head up to bed? We can talk in the morning,okay?" she stroked daynas hair.

"yeah okay" she nodded and yawned.

"its just us in the house so if you need anything just call me okay?"

Dayna nodded and made her way out of the kitchen and up the stairs but when she arrived to her bedroom her heart stopped and her eyebrows went up in surprise.

"oh my god" she whispered in a shaky breath.

She stepped inside a brand new room. The walls were freshly painted a mate white colour with a new bed and furniture. It was beautiful.

She ran her hand along the black poster bed and then onto the white,fluffy blanket that laid on it. Her eyes were watering up, a lump forming in her throat.

"do you like it?"

She quickly spun around and saw diana standing in the doorway. Dayna nodded frantically "its for me?" she was unsure.

Diana smiled and nodded walking in "we wanted it to be your own" she replied.

The first tear rolled down daynas cheek and she unexpectedly wrapped diana in a hug.

"i love it. Thank you"

"im glad" she smiled and kissed her head.

Dayna pulled back and Diana wiped her eyes "why are you crying?"

Dayna shrugged "you guys have been so amazing to me. No one has ever been this good to me"

"aw sweetheart. We love you. We just want you to be happy. This is your home now and you deserve your own space"

"thank you" she repeated.

"you're welcome. Get some sleep okay?"

"okay" dayna nodded.

"goodnight" diana walked towards the door.

"night" dayna replied and watched her leave. She took one look around the whole room and beamed. As much as she loved being on tour it was really nice to finally be home.

Diana awoke to the most terrifying sound that night. Dayna screaming for help.

She pounced out of her sleep and sprinted to daynas room. Switching on the lights. She found dayna plastered to the bed sheets in sweat. Tears rolling down her face.

Diana rushed to her sighed "Dayna!" she shook her hard and in a snap dayna was awake and looking around frantically.

"shhh it's okay" diana stroked her face "im here its okay" she sat at the edge of the bed.

Dayna looked at her and burst into sobs. Diana pulled her in to her and rocked her gently kissing her head "shhhh" she cooed.

After dayna calmed down diana looked at her "are you okay?" she softly spoke.

Dayna nodded weakly "im so sorry"

"don't apologise. Its okay" she stroked her hand "do you want to talk about it?" she asked
