Shoes

I smile and so does Ash.

We walk into the living room where the rest of the guys are, waiting to leave. "Is everyone ready?" Michael asks. "Not yet." Ash says, putting on his shoes. I look down at my bare feet. Oh shit. I don't have any shoes. God damnit. "Okay, ready." Ash says. Should I say something? No, they don't have time to go buy me shoes. Fuck it, let's just go. I'll say something later. "you ready, Hailey?" Calum asks me. "Yeah, I'm ready." I say. "Did you get shorter?" Luke asks. "What?" I give him a confused look, "You look shorter. Not by much, but just enough to notice." Luke says, They look at the ground and see my bare feet. "Oh, you don't have any shoes." Calum says. I shake my head and sigh. "Hey, its okay. We'll get you a pair. For now just..." Luke says, not able to think of what I should do. "I'll be fine barefoot, but thank you anyway." I say. "Wanna barrow a pair of my shoes? I have kinda small feet."Calum asks. "I guess, if you really want me to have a pair." I respond, kinda just wanting to leave already. He digs in his stuff for awhile before handing me a pair with some socks. "Here, try these." He says. I try them on and say, "They're kinda big on me but I can handle it." He smiles. "Alright, let's go!" Luke says, and we all head out the door.
