13. The cry

"No.." I shouted. We all walked were they where taking Jake. Again the nurse didn't let us in. I started sobbing.

"Agrawal.. How can you be so quite?" I asked him as he was standing there with a blank expression. I grabbed his collar and his hand instantly went on my shoulder.

"Agrawal call someone. Ask a few more specialists to look after Jake. Agrawal please do something please.." I begged make him look at him and he was still expressionless.

"Agrawal... Listen.. Listen.... We will call few more specialists to work on Jake's case, okay?" I asked him touching his jaw making him look at me. He was still standing there blank just blank. I was not able to stop the tears from flowing down.

"What if??.. What if??.. Something happens..." I was sobbing and he pulled me into a hug which I needed the most. A tight warm hug from him. I hugged him back tightly as if afraid to lose what very thing I was left with.

"Shh... " I heard him murmur. He lightly patted my head. I signed closing my eyes inhaling his scent. I wasn't crying anymore but was sobbing. I was still holding him tightly but felt him walk forward and me backward until something hit the back of my knee.

"Sit.. I have to fill in some hospital formalities. I will be right back." He told and loosened my grip on him and made me sit on the hospital bench outside the ICU. I nodded towards him and he walked away with the same blank expression.

I don't know for how long I just closed my eyes and chanted God's name for Jake's good health.

"Kiara." I heard Mr. Agrawal say.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Here" he said handing me a paper.

"What is it?" I asked.

"As I am still fighting for Jake's custody we both will have to sign as his guardians." He told sitting beside me.

"What?" I asked. He started repeating the sentence.

"Okay.. Got you. Why don't you throw your money now?" I asked. He gave me a confused look.

"When I was admitted in the hospital due to a sleeping pills overdose you filled in hospital formalities by throwing money didn't you?" I asked him and he remained quite.

"Reputed hospital's don't except such money. I did filled in your formalities as well." He told.

"As a what?" I asked without thinking. 'As a husband.' My brain reminded me. My mouth formed into an O.

"Yeah... I will bring you coffee , you sign the papers." With that he left. I went through the papers and signed in the formalities. I came across many things and found out that Mr. Agrawal didn't even knew about Jake's blood group or any allergies.

I didn't realised when Mr.Agrawal came and sat beside me

"Done?" He asked handling me the coffee.

"No.. Yes." I said at the sane time. He raised his eyebrow.

"I don't wasn't coffee and yes I have signed."I told him and he nodded. I was happy that he didn't forced me to drink the damn coffee because I was in no mood to do so. After few minutes the doctor came out.

"Doctor what's wrong with Jake?" Mr. Agrawal asked.

"Come with me." Doctor told. Mr. Agrawal followed the doctor and I followed him. I know probably the doctor only addressed Mr. Agrawal to come with him but it was about Jake so I had to go along.

"Sit." I heard the doctor say.

"Jake suffered from an cardiac attack and right now Dr. Kumar has given him medical induced coma. And to be honest we can only pray for his survival most of the adults die in such a situation." Doctor told. I covered my mouth.

"Oh..my.... " I covered my mouth to cover the sob that was about to leave my mouth.

I held Mr. Agrawal's hand very tightly asking him to do something he couldn't just sit. It was Jake we were taking about.

"Do anything. About the cost or number of doctors engaged in this case I don't care. Jake should be alright." Mr. Agrawal said to the doctor.

"We will give our 100%" doctor said to us. Mr. Agrawal nodded towards him.

"It will take time for Jake to wakeup." Doctor said.

"How many hours?" I asked desperately. I wanted to see him well, happy and him.

"It will take few days as we have given him medical induced coma." Doctor said.

"Still how many?" I asked. Days he is taking about days I was not able to wait for him to be okay for few minutes as well.

"10 to 11 days."
