38. The Engagement

I looked good, better than I have ever looked in my life.

"Come on everyone's waiting for you." one of the relative said coming in. The outfit I was wearing wasn't that heavy but the jewellery was very heavy. Diamond earnings that went with the dress (choli).

"Dressed to kill.. Red hot." This comment came from none other than Rina. Steffi placed her hand on my back and indicated me to move forward. I walked and everyone else followed me. Rina and Steffi by my side.

There was something very wrong with Krystal's life that I needed to sort out and anyhow take her out completely from the mess she was in. This thoughts ran in my mind.

As I walked downstairs everyone's eyes were on me. Then my eyes caught Mr. Agrawal he had that look in his eyes which told me that he liked what he saw and then the words 'I love you Kiara.' ran in my head which made me blush. He was dressed in a kurta which matched my. Dark suits him as usual. Today he was wearing a Bali (earring) which suited him more than anything. His rough look, decent hair, Bali, dark kurta and those dark grey eyes where enough for me to melt in that moment.

Then my eyes caught a very familiar person's eyes.

"Uncle John." I said smiling and ran towards him.

"Omg.. I can't believe you are here." I told him and hugged him tightly. Majority of the time uncle John used to be abroad due to his work and he never attended any function as he never had time. Uncle John's entire family was present, it was the biggest reason for me to be happy again. I hugged them all, greeted them and walked towards Mr. Agrawal.

He offered his hand and I took it immediately. We walked towards the lawn where a big stage was built for the ring ceremony. I couldn't ignore how perfectly my hand fits in his. Everyone followed us. It was all dreamy and I was afraid to wake up from this beautiful dream.

We walked towards the blue and white stage which was surrounded by beautiful grass and white and blue tables. The combination of green grass, and different shades of blue and white was awesome. The decoration, flowers everything was just mind blowing.

There were twice the number of people than earlier around us. We walked to the chairs on top of the stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen May I have your attention please." The anchor started. Then the anchor announced all the gifts given by Mr. Agrawal's family individual person to me. It was a tradition. Uncle John arranged all the gifts from my side of the family to Mr.Agrawal.

"Time to cut the cake." A cake was being brought. Two bottle of champagne were poped opened. Fireworks started bursting as soon as the beautiful cake of a girl and a guy in a dance position was opened. I gasped seeing the cake. It was very beautiful and big.

"Cut the cake." There were sounds around for us to cut the cake. The anchor who was saying all those lovey-dovey things like "completed they are when together like there is no use of water without life." Some of her phrases made me choke on my own spit.

Mr. Agrawal took the knife from the waitress and waited for me to join him in cutting the cake. As we cut the cake all the sparkles, decorative, shiny stuff came all over us from the side of the stage.

Photographer was constantly clicking pictures but at this time everyone started clicking and cheering. Long story short everyone seemed happy. Enjoying there drinks, dancing, talking, hugging around.

We were asked to come down stage for the ring ceremony and everyone encircled us. There were two big blue circle kind of but beautiful circle beside me and Mr. Agrawal.

The big blue circle opened and in it was a shiny pearl like palm sized stone. Mr. Agrawal took that stone and opened it in it was a beautiful ring.

I felt like a real princess when Mr. Agrawal went on his knees.

"Can I?" He asked for permission. He was on his knees.

"Omg." I said covering my mouth. Tears of happiness built in my eyes.

"Say yes." Cheered people around. That smile on Mr. Agrawal's face and everything.

"Please don't be a dream." I murmured to myself and closed my eyes and opened it but Mr. Agrawal was still there on his knees waiting for my answer.

"Yes." I said and everyone started shouting and squeals of happiness where around us. A drop of tear out of happiness rolled down my eye. I was being crying a lot lately.

The beautiful small diamond ring slided in my ring finger by Mr. Agrawal. The cold ring slided in my finger indicating me that the world knows now that I am his now.

Gasps, shouts and noices of appreciation were around. Mr. Agrawal stood up and then the blue circle on my side opened and the same Pearl stone was inside. I opened the Pearl and there was as expected a ring. Beautiful gold and diamond man ring.

"Can I?" I asked holding the ring in front of him.

"Yes only if you mean it." He said whispering the last words. For people around they thought is was some lovey-dovey comment.

"Aww.. They be so cute." Said the anchor. I wished to kill her slowly as she sucked with her anchoring.

I took Mr. Agrawal's hand and slided the ring in his finger.
