I was just listening to my father while he is talking to his bestfriend. I told him already na hindi ko siya iiwan. I could help him. I could protect him.
"Caleb, aalis na ako. Promise me son that you'll be good in here" kahit ayoko sa binibitawang salita ni Papa wala parin akong magawa. I walked close to him ang hugged him tight sandali kong pinikit ang mata ko at binuka iyon. I saw Sally clasping her hands.
"Pa, mag-iingat ka. Tatawag ako sayo!" I said.
"Aalis na ako pare." Tito Harvey nodded at my Dad. We watched him as he go back to the car with our bodyguards.
"Hijo. Feel at home. This is your home now. Magpapahinga muna ako." I just nod at tito also. Tinignan ko si Sally where she stands a moment ago. I bit my lips and winked at her.
Tinarayan niya agad ako at tinaas pa ang kamao niya na kunwari susuntukin ako. I mouthed "Miss you" and her face blushed of what I said. It's been awhile.
I watched her as she turned around. Nakapajama siya at naka sando. I think I'll get to used this. Dati naman kaming close nasira nga lang dahil sa ginawa ko dati sa kanya.
But that was years ago. It was never my intention. I swear!
