The moment I saw Fey I hugged her so tight and began to whimper.
"Hey, hey. Tempy, what's wrong?"
"Stupid wolf boys." I mumbled and she froze.
"What? How do you know?"
"Jay." I mumbled pulling away my cheeks red from my moment of weakness. I hated how Jay had been at everyone of my breaking points knew every weakness already.
"Oh." Was all she said and I huffed.
"How long have you've known?" I asked, grabbing Mr. Turtle my pillow pet. Hey, the song may be bullshit and the catchiest motherfucker on this planet but dam these things are soft!
"Since I met Spark."
"What!"
"Uh-yeah...I kinda can't go home...I don't want to."
"Wait! Back up! WHAT!"
"Uh...it's really corny but we're like that soulmate thing. Except he's not a possesive asshole, he's nice."
"Ok, so we arrived on the train. We went to the comicon. You found your other half and I'm left to living with my grandma again."
"Oh but you two needed family bonding time!"
"Don't, don't you dare. Whatever happens I'm not living with her again. I' not moving all the time and having her force men on me so I can give her kids. I'm not letting her control my life."
"But I can't go back. It's...complicated."
"Yeah because you found your other half." I spit.
"Is tha a problem?" She quirked an eyebrow.
"No it's just..." I looked away, I'm so weak. I can't even...
"Tempy, are you crying?"
"No." I wipe away the tears quickly.
"Tempy calm down, we'll figure this out." I jerked my arm away from her.
"I've delt with so much today, I saw a boy get murderd infront of me, the boy who did it was the same one I've been lost over for god knows how long. I almost got raped. Found out my friend is shoving me back to the woman who told me I would be dead if I had been a pretty girl, the woman who made me kiss a boy when she knew I couldn't. I-I hate you all."
"Tempy!"
I didn't want to leave and end the one good thing life gave me. I didn't want to turn my back.
"Tempy you've never said anything about your grandma."
"I-I-I can't."
The door opened and in walked Spark with Jay.
"Who the fuck let you in!" I jumped up.
"I'm not going away Temp." His eyes held a strange determination.
"Get Out!"
"No." He began to step towards me, slowly, hands up.
"Stay...S-s-stay away from me."
"I'm not walking away pretty girl." His eyebrows lifted up in a pleading look.
"Y-y-you know n-nothing."
"Then tell me why. I'm here for you. Why do you always run?" He was very close now.
"N-n-no."
"Please." I backed up and he stopped. I breathed a sigh of relief.
"You killed that boy."
"The same boy who tried to rape you."
"He was alive."
"He was a monster."
"He was still a living breathing organism who knew he was going to die when you dragged him into the woods."
He opened his mouth, closed it.
"Go away, please Jay." I begged.
"No, I'm not letting you run away from something you can't fight. Let me help."
"I-I-I can't."
"Yes you can."
"You'll hate me."
"I won't."
"My grandmother did when she found out."
"I won't."
"How can you be so sure?"
And then he was right in my face, a measly eight inches of breathing room. He bent down and cupped my cheeks.
"Because I've been lost before pretty girl, I've been lost in what I am and my monsters. They're all there, beneith this smile I was nothing but a scared little 11 year old boy trying to find his way through the darkness. Let me help, you should see the light it's so warm." He hugged me, pressing my head into his shoulder and wrapping his arms around protectively.
"Can you...can you listen?" I begged.
He sat down is the rocking chair, with me in his lap. Gentily he rocked with me, back and forth back and forth. My head craddled in his arms, my body cuddled inbetween his criss-crossed legs.
"Tell us your nightmare, Pretty girl. It will all be over soon."
