Hey, sleepy hed, we need to wake up.

why!

because we haven't eatten since yesterday morning...

Another five minutes of blinking and I was awake, rolling my shoulders...

we need to shift.

"How?"

focus on me ok, picture me in your mind.

"Ok, not that hard."

now let the idea take over your mind, don't let anything else in...the first shift is always the hardest...after that you will be able to shift of free will.

I did what she told me and I felt it come over me like a heat wave, it felt glorious compared to the wet, cold, I had slept through. My bones shifted and cracked, it didn't hurt but the sensation was so weird I began to get scared.

focus...

Her voice calmed me and I let go, letting my body mold and shift, falling on my hands no my paws...I blinked and yipped.

This IS so COOL I tolb my wolf.

she huffed.

I set out running down to the river to drink the water, I caught a glimpse of myself and barked in shock. My fur was a bright red.

ooh its so pretty!

my wolf barked a laugh.

I drank from the river and even tried to hunt but only managing to catch a very slow very fat chipmunk. Eatting wasn't as hard when I just let my insticts take the lead and it became just trying to fill my belly. Afterwards I dozed off in a patch of sun that warmed my fur.

I woke up to barks not far off and large padding feet. I jumped up and backed into the large oak tree where I had taken refuge the other night, two wolves by their scents, and paws. Five minutes later they came into veiw...both very huge and scary. I shrank back and snarled at them. They paused and stared at me, that's when I noticed the coat of the bigger one, a dark grey-blue. He wasn't looking at me directly, I whined at Jay, yipping with joy, and bounded toward him, then the other wolf, ash grey cut me off and growled in my face. I whined and backed off, ears, flattening. I had to get Jay to notice me, somehow.

I whined when the wolf backed me up against the tree.

STOP! I shreiked and Jay's head snapped to meet mine.

the connection...it burned, hard and fast, coursing through my veins and it left me shaking and yipping.

HE barked at the other wolf and he backed off. Jay padded toward me, circling, sniffing, touching softly with his nose, memorising every single part of me. I memorised his scent which was of mint and pine trees. I moved cautously forward, until I could touch my nose to his, before realising that I needed to shift, but seeing as I was only 16 and way too young to be comfortable being naked infront of him, I bounded off for my clothes which were about five miles back. It pleased me to find I was way faster then either of them. I took a little longer than I wanted to shift back but I managed to get all my clothes on before they reached me.

Jay barked and stared. I giggled.

"Hey wolf boy."

He didn't say anything but just pressed his nose to my throat and breathed me in. I could feel is heart rate slowing.

"I guess I do take his breath away." I grinned at the other wolf. I glanced back at Jay, "hey mister, you lied to me." I mock scolded.

He grunted and sat down on the forest floor, I rested my head on his belly.

"No, you're not getting off that easy, you lied."

The other wolf snorted and left.

"Hmmm, wonder where's he's going." I felt...free, like I was a completed puzzle, free of fear and loneliness.

After 20 minutes of peaceful quiet I stood up.

"You're taking me back to the hotel. Once you've gone home to change come back and we will talk."

He rolled his eyes and I swated him on the nose.

"Or I could just go and shift behind that tree over there and leave you in my dust." I held his head in my hands and grinned at him,"you decide." I winked.

An hour of riding on his back and I needed both a shower, change of clothes, and a good brush.

When I was done I changed into a ragged t-shirt and sweats, pulling on the dirst black sweatshirt again and waitting for Jay to return. He was back in recored time, with Ley and Spark.

"Baby!" Ley jump hugged me and sent me sprawling to the floor.

Jay collected me from her and sat inbetween his legs, his arms wrapped around me.

"So," I said, grinning up at him,"We have a lot to talk about huh?"

He groaned and I laughed.

(A/N) So was it good? I hope so this chapter was very hard to write for!
