Chapter 15

A whole month has passed since I broke up with Hans. Elsa and Jack have started dating, and she told him and Kristoff about her ice powers, they didn't freak out. They were actually quite amazed, and it turns out that Jack has ice powers too! Which was just another thing Elsa and Jack bonded over. But I mean, they are practically a perfect match. They're both so outgoing, exciting, competitive, and just cute together!

Ever since what happened between me and Hans, I didn't really want to get that close to someone. I mean, I had a crush on him for years, and when I finally get the chance to date him... I find out that he's a cheater! Anyways, Elsa thinks that I should date Kristoff, she even forces us to go on "group" dates with her and Jack. I don't really think of it as Kristoff and me dating, more like, we are just hanging out with Elsa and Jack.

We've all gotten to be really close friends. We spend every Friday night watching movies, and I make sure that I never end up sleeping on Kristoff's shoulder again.... Although, I might 'accidentally' fall asleep holding his hand, only if he doesn't notice...

"Anna? Earth to Anna!" Elsa shouts, whilst waving her hand in front of my face.

I shake my head and take myself out of my trance. "Huh?" I look to my right side where she's standing. Today, Elsa and Jack decided to drag me and Kristoff to the park. It's a beautiful winter day, although it's a little too cold for my liking. I'd rather be in summer than winter, but Elsa and Jack don't mind the cold, they actually quite like it. But they are the two people with creaking ice magical powers, so why wouldn't they like the cold? Anyways, I'm already wearing two hoodies, but I'm still freezing cold! My cheeks are rosy and it's snowing lightly as we walk around the park.

"You were staring off into space again..." Elsa says with a smirk as she punches my shoulder playfully.

She knows that I like Kristoff, and I never told her... She wants us to start dating, but I don't know if I'm ready to throw myself back into the relationship world.  I mean... I'm pretty sure that Kristoff would never hurt me like Hans did, but I'm scared. What if he doesn't like me as anything more than a friend? What if he has a crush on a different girl? "I was just looking around at the park. It's really pretty, but it's waaaaaaay too cold!" I shove my hands into my hoodie pockets for extra warmth. Elsa and Jack both laugh and give each other smiles, then Jack whispers something in Elsa's ear. Her eyes widen and a smirk spreads across her lips. She looks at me and Kristoff with her smirk.

"Well, Jack and I are going to go over there." She says while pointing to a bench across the park.

"Why are you telling us this?" Kristoff asks. Does he not already know of their diabolical scheme?! Whyyyy, Elsa? Whyyy?

"Because, that bench only has room for two. So you two are going to have to find somewhere else to sit." Jack says turning to walk over to the far away bench. Elsa walks next to him, doing things that cute couples do: holding hands, kissing, and making each other laugh.

I turn to face Kristoff awkwardly, "Are you c-cold?" I say shivering and tightening my scarf around my neck, which is another one of my ways to hide my face from him.

"Not really..." He says looking around. "W-Wanna sit down?" He asks me nervously, stumbling over his words a bit. He gestures to a bench, not more than a few feet away from us.

I nod my head and walk over to the nearby bench, which is covered in fresh snow. I push the soft powdery snow off of half of the bench and Kristoff 'de-snow-ifies' the other half. I sit down on the right side of the bench, close to the edge, and Kristoff does the same on the left side. My phone vibrates in my pocket and I look over at Elsa, who holds up her phone and points to it, as a signal for me to check my phone. I roll my eyes and pull my phone out of my pocket and see Elsa's message to me that says 'Tell him you're cold!❄️'

I quickly reply 'No! Why would I?' I look back at Elsa and Jack, and see them both on their phones. Ugh, they're playing the match maker game with us...

'Just do it!!!!' She replies. I look up from my phone and look towards her. She smiles at me and puts her phone away, ending any conversations or argument between us.

I sigh and look at Kristoff who's on his phone, most likely texting Jack. I 'casually' drop my phone on the bench and it slides to Kristoff's side. I scoot a little closer to Kristoff and retrieve my phone. He then puts his phone away, runs a hand through his hair, and let's out a nervous breath.

I smile at him, but he's still looking forward, making weird faces it Jack... Am I ready for something like this again?... He's nothing like Hans. But yet I'm still afraid to have my heart broken again... I should just tell him, but what if he doesn't feel the same way?! That could ruin our friendship!!! Why can't this just be as easy a taking a test? There's so many different outcomes, and to top it all off, I'm freezing cold! I shiver as a cold breeze blows by, and suddenly a warm arm wraps around my shoulders. I don't move, just to make sure that I don't ruin anything. This warm and fuzzy feeling spreads inside me, making me smile slightly.

I move a little closer to him, close enough to rest my head on his shoulder. He's not pushing me away... Maybe he does feel the same way I do...
