Chapter Three

Lily's P.O.V

As class is about to start professor Kemble walks in. "Hello students!" He shouts happily. "Welcome to your first DADA lesson of your last year, to start the year off we will be working with a few things that we have already done for a refresher! First thing is animaguses!" (sp?)

He walks up to the front of the room and turns back around to face us. "Who can tell me how long it takes to learn how to turn into your animal form?"

I raise my hand along with Remus, and to everyone's surprise, Potter and Black also raise their hands.

"Hm, yes Sirius?"

"It depends on how old you are, if you are below 17 it takes about 3 months. If you are of age it should take only 1 month. And then once you know your form, it takes merely seconds."

"Very good mr black. Ten points to Gryffindor!"

Sirius smiles smugly as he settles back into his chair. God I hate that lot. Well most of them, Remus has always been a good friend.

Professor Kemble keeps talking about animagi for the the rest of the period, and when the bell rings I stuff my book into my bag and head off to the rest of my lessons.

Time skip to dinner

I walk into the great hall, stomach rumbling, ready to eat dinner. Once I get over to all my friends, I see the marauders there also. I sit next to Marlene and Alice as I hiss into Marls ear. "Why are they here!"

Marlene replies in a normal tone. "We've decided to give them a chance."

I laugh and roll my eyes as I whisper so only Alice and Marls can hear. "That or you just have a big fat crush on Black. And by the way, I don't agree to this."

Marlene's face turns bright red as she rolls her eyes. "Bugger off Lils, and I told you two! I knew she wouldn't agree."

I hear a sigh but I don't look up to see who it was.

"I wouldn't agree even a million years from now." I state.

"Evans here has a point she hates us." Black says, agreeing with me as I glare at him.

Remus shrugs "worth a shot right?"

Marlene rolls her eyes but doesn't say anything.

"Wait a second, where's Peter?" Alice asks.

We all look around. "Dunno, he's been off and missing a lot recently." Potter says turning around to see if he's talking to a teach up at the teachers table.

Black shrugs. "He'll turn up. He always does."

"Yup, faithful little Peter!" Remus says grinning (while the author cringes)

The guys smile and turn their attention back to the food.

That night, I slip into the cozy bed thinking about how crazy my friends are. I mean come on! Why on earth would the befriend any of the marauders besides Remus!
