Lily's POV

It's been two months, a bit more, sense that fight with the Slytherins. Surprisingly I'm not enemies with the marauders anymore. Now don't get me wrong, we are not best friends, just, umm, sorta friends? Anyways, me and the girls are up in our dorm room packing for Christmas break because we are leaving in two days on Saturday morning.

When we are all done packing, we head down for dinner. We sit in our normal seats at the end of the table next to the boys.

"OH! Good your here now." James says smiling at all four of us.

"Finally, now he can say what he has been dying to say for the past fifteen minuets." Remus says rolling his eyes.

James nods his head and keeps speaking. "So, every year my parents throw a big Christmas party, and I was wondering if you all wanted to come, and you guys can stay till New Years too. "

"Wow, I'm gonna be kicked out after New Years? Remus I need a new place to stay." Sirius says jokingly.

James rolls his eyes. "No not you, ya oaf." We all laugh at the two as we shovel food onto our plates laughing and talking about what we will be doing when we are at James' house.

Apparently he lives in a country side manor with plenty of room for all of us, and the Christmas party that his parents throw is usually for the Ministry and James has never been able to have anyone their for the party besides Sirius because he always hated it at his parents house.

"When did you move in with James anyway?" Alice asks.

"Summer before fifth year." Sirius answers.

"What your parents say when you left."

"Oh god why did you have to ask this!" James asks dropping his head on the table."

"Be quiet, they want to know about my tragic child hood." Sirius says swatting James. "Anyways, it all started when I was little. I always had a fascination with muggles. I thought cars and motorcycles were, are, cool, and I always marveled at how they could do so many things without magic. So when I asked my parents if I could play with the muggles that lived in our neighbor hood, my father slapped me and my mother yelled at me telling me that I can't play with dirt. I told them I wasn't playing with dirt, I was playing with muggles. My father said that their wasn't a difference and sent me up to my room without any dinner. So from then on I tried to annoy my parents the best I could. I post posters up from muggle football teams and muggle magazines all over my room. When ever we had family over I would only talk about muggle things and eventually I wasn't aloud to come down stairs at all when family, or anyone for that matter, came over. I was stuck in my room and I was perfectly happy. When I came here I never wanted to leave. When I got home after my first year here, I was cursed out and beaten by my parents because I was a Gryffindor. I could care less though, and never liked my parents and I never cared about what they thought, and I always made sure that my habits never rubbed off on my little brother Regulus. My parents idolized him. He's a slytherin and doesn't like muggles. But I still loves me, and when ever I was sent to my room without dinner he would sneak food up into my room without my parents knowing. Then the summer before fifth year, when I dated a muggle girl for a few weeks my dad blew his top and put the cruciatus curse on me. It probably would have killed me if Regulus didn't step in telling my dad to stop. As soon as he does and dashed up to my room, grabbed my trunk that I never unpacked when I came home from Hogwarts just incase. I run back down stairs throwing open the front door and running out side. I was stopped by regulus and he asked me not to go but I told him that if I styed any longer I would just kill myself and I left. I got onto the knight bus and had it take me to James' house where I knocked don the door. James answered the door and I told him everything. Then I told his parents everything and they let me stay at their house till I move out after Hogwarts." Sirius says taking a deep breath at the end.

"Wow." Dorcas says shocked.

"Yeah wow." I repeat.

"That's some deep shit Sirius." Marlene remarks.

"Yeah, I had a pretty lousy child hood."

"But I saved him by being the hero I am and letting him stay at my humble home."

"Okay first off, you are not a hero, your just a good friend, second off, your house is not humble at all. It's larger than the Malfoy's house. And their house is huge."

James rolls his eyes as he stands up.

"Come on, we should get to bed, we have early potions tomorrow." Remus says also standing up.

"UHHHHGG." Peter Sirius Marlene Alice and Dorcas all say at the same time.

"Wow was that planned?" I ask laughing.

"Oh shut up." Alice says. "Not everyone loves potions."

"That's not my problem." I say running out of the Great Hall and u the stairs to the Gryffindor common room finally collapsing on my favorite arm chair. A second later the others come running in all huffing and puffing looking like idiots with bright red faces.

"Well that was fun." James says, the only one not breathing incredibly hard.

"No it wasn't!" Dorcas says. "I feel like I'm about to cough up a lung!"

Remus rolls his eyes. "Stopping being such a drama queen."

"NEVER!" She shouts and falls onto the couch taking up the whole thing."

"Whatever, I'm going to bed. Night" Remus says waving at us and laughing.

"We should all probably head to bed." I say.

Marlene yawns and nods. "Yeah."

"Night boys."

"Night."

We all head up to our dorms to get into our Pj's and crawl into bed.
