Stark Tower, New York
Annabeth knocked on the door to Percy's room. Nightmares had been tormenting her. Percy opened the door. Something must've shown in her face, because the first thing he did was pull her into a hug.
In the shadows across the hall, someone took a picture. The person slipped away without being noticed.
About a week later, Annabeth had fallen asleep leaning on Percy's chest while watching a movie. Someone stood nearby snapping pictures.
The next day, Percy was teasing Annabeth. Her face was red. "Stop!" she exclaimed, but she was smiling. Percy grinned and gave her a kiss on the cheek. A camera captured it all.
A few days later, Leo came rushing out of the elevator. "Guys," he told Percy and Annabeth, "you need to come see this."
He led them to a closet in the basement. When he opened the door, dozens of photos tumbled out. All of them had one thing in common: Percabeth. Someone had documented an entire closet full of Percabeth.
Annabeth knelt and picked up a picture of her kissing Percy. "When did you find this?" she asked.
"Well," Leo said, "I saw someone dressed in black go to the basement, so I followed them."
Annabeth looked suprised. "I didn't know you were that stealthy."
"I'm not," Leo assured her. "The person saw me and ran away." Now Annabeth didn't look shocked.
"What do we do about these pictures?" Percy asked.
"And more importantly the person taking them," Annabeth said.
"Yeah, that's important, too."
"The person who came here earlier was about to put pictures in the closet, but saw me first, if that helps." Leo said.
"That means the culprit still has the pictures," Annabeth said.
"Does that help?" Percy asked.
"Seaweed Brain," Annabeth sighed. "Leo, is there any security on this building?"
Leo glanced up from the motor he was tinkering with. "Yeah, on the outside."
"That's all we need. Can you pull up the feed from a few weeks ago?"
"I could do that while piloting an airplane!"
"Please don't try."
Later, Annabeth started watching the video feed. No one unusual had entered or left the building. "It has to be someone who lives here," she said.
The heroes had a meeting in the basement.
Annabeth stood up. "I need to conduct a search," she said.
"And you think we'll just let you?" Tony laughed.
"Why do you need to search us?" Piper asked.
Annabeth threw open the closet door and gestured dramatically at the pictures. "Can I conduct a search to find out who's stalking me?!"
"Sure," Jason said.
"Why not," Carter decided.
"Here's the password for the lab," Bruce said, handing Annabeth a piece of paper.
Over the next few days, Annabeth and Percy searched the entire tower. They found some dangerous looking "experiments" (toys) in the lab, Sadie's iPod, Walt's stash of amulets, and some random items, but no photos.
"Who could it be?!" Annabeth asked.
"Calm down," Percy told her.
"I don't need to calm down!"
"You look like you haven't slept in days."
"That's because I haven't."
Percy raised his eyebrows. "Calm down," he repeated.
"I can't calm down when I might wake up to someone standing over me with a camera!"
Percy pulled her into a hug. "We'll find them, eventually." He tensed. "What was that?" he whispered.
Annabeth glanced at the hallway. "I heard it, too."
They saw a dark figure slip away. Silently, they followed. The figure climbed into the space between the celing and roof and disappeared.
Annabeth turned to Percy, "Give me a boost."
He locked his hands together and lifted her into the gap in the celing. He clambered up after her. They crawled through the space to where someone (probably Tony or Leo) had inserted a door to the roof.
When they climbed through the door, they found everyone gathered on the roof. They were having a picnic (complete with 12 flavors of poptarts).
"Has anyone suspicious come up here?" Annabeth asked.
"Nope," Sadie answered.
"Nobody except you," Natasha confirmed.
Annabeth stared at them for a moment. "I'M SO STUPID!!!" she exclaimed.
Percy stared at her. "What?"
"It's you, isn't it?" Annabeth asked, her voice slowly rising. "It's all of you. YOU'RE THE ONES!!!!!!!"
"Um, Annabeth?" Percy said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "I think you need to calm down."
"But they're the ones!"
"Calm down!"
Piper was holding back a smile. "It's okay, Annabeth. You're right."
Annabeth breathed a sigh of relief. "I thought I was going crazy!"
"Oh, you were," Bruce assured. "Get some rest. Afterwards, stop by my office to make sure you're all right."
Annabeth nodded. "I think I'm gonna go to bed." She went back inside.
"So what's going on?" Percy asked.
"We were all taking the pictures," Hazel explained.
"Um... why?"
Piper smiled. "Because Percabeth is the best ship!"
Percy frowned. "Um..."
Piper stepped foreward threateningly, "You will accept that Percabeth is the best ship EVER, or so help me I'll-"
"Okay!" Jason stepped in. "We've unleashed her evil fangirl! Piper, you can't hurt him without destroying your ship, so please stop."
"Why don't we go inside and cook poptarts?" Natasha suggested.
"POPTARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Thor screamed, running inside.
"Okay..." Lauren said, following him inside.
Everyone went in and enjoyed a nice poptart meal.
A/N So it looks like everyone is a fangirl... Oops... :p Any story ideas? I'd love to hear them! Bye!
