Hello again, my lovely hero readers! Sorry, but this another author's note. I have some statements/ideas/news/questions about the story. If you don't read anything else, please at least read the bold.
Firstly, updates will continue to be as frequent as they have been lately. Not quite every month, but every few weeks.
Also, I have determined that there are going to be 8 or 9 chapters left in the story. I'm predicting that this will all draw to a close late next winter.
And finally, an idea/question. Lately, a lot of people have been commenting on the story, especially the earlier chapters. I've been reading the new comments and the passages from the story that go with them, and. . . oh my. . .
Did you guys know that this book is almost four years old?! Yeah. My writing has somewhat improved in four years, and honestly, the older chapters make me cringe.
I want to edit some (all) of the older chapters. The main things I want to do are improve description, make the chapters slightly longer, and possibly improve some of the word choice.
But you guys are the readers. I may cringe, but I'm not the one who's reading, voting, and commenting. Because it's my work, I want to continue to make it better, but I don't want to ruin the story.
So I'm going to let you, the readers, decide. The next chapter will be an actual update. Two updates from now, I'm posting an edited version of chapter one, along with the original. If you hate my editing, if it ruins the story, let me know, and I won't make any changes. If my editing actually improves the story, tell me, and I'll start updating the earlier chapters.
I have one more thing I want to make clear before I go: the editing will in no way affect my updating schedule. In fact, I tend not to work on an update when I feel like editing because all I can think about is the earlier chapters.
Regardless, I will be happy with whatever you decide.
Thanks guys!
