The Pharaoh's Meeting

Leo, Tony, and Carter arrived at the first nome in Egypt. Carter gave them a brief tour, then it was time for the meeting to start.

Before Carter went to the meeting, he introduced Leo and Tony to a baboon. "This is Khufu," he said. "Khufu, please keep them entertained until my meeting is over."

The meeting consisted of about fifty magicians sitting around a table screaming at each other. When Carter walked in, they immediately quieted down. Then, the meeting began.

The 26th nome needed to transfer some of their recruits to other nomes. There were too many to train. Of course, no one else wanted the recruits. Eventually, the 15th, 10th, and 43rd nomes agreed to take them in.

Texas was repeatedly being attacked by creatures from the Duat. They needed more magicians to help them fight. The 12th nome agreed to assist them.

The magicians argued over whether or not to make Stark Towers a new nome. The decided to think about it and decide later.

This went on for a while. There were other complaints to be dealt with. Two hours later, the meeting finally ended. Carter went to go find Tony and Leo.

They were in the gym, playing basketball with the baboons. Tony and Khufu's team was winning. When the game ended, Tony and Leo walked over.

"Those monkeys are really good!" Leo said.

"Yeah," Tony agreed. "How was your meeting, Mr. Pharaoh, Sir?"

"Fine," Carter said, "and don't call me Mr. Pharaoh, Sir!"

"What about Mr. King of Egypt?" Leo asked.

Tony agreed, "I like that."

"No," Carter said, "just call me Carter."

"Fine!" Leo said.

"Come on, I'll show you around the nome."
