I didn't wake up until close to noon the next day.

I didn't want to wake up, knowing that I had to go through another day without grandpa heroe.

Well, actually on earth.

When someone dies, your friends and family all try and comfort you, telling you that "everything is ok" or "Honey, he may not be with us, but he will always be in your heart", bull crap.

Yeah, sure. He might be "in my heart", but he isn't here.

That's the problem.

And apparently no one can see that.

I let out a huge sigh, and sat up in my bed.

Rubbing my sleepy eyes, I sat up in my bed and took a glance at the clock, and once I saw the time I just dropped onto my back again and let out a sigh.

I don't know what this was called..

Depression?

Greif?

Either way, I hated it.

I just... needed someone to talk to.

I needed grandpa.

After a while, I finally found the will to sit up and get dressed.

I pulled out some fuzzy grey sweats, a black sweater that said "fries music Netflix watt pad music" or something like that, I didn't really pay attention. Then I put on some no show socks, slipped my red vans on, and put my hair in a messy bun.

Once I was done, I put some eyeliner and mascara on before grabbing my phone and flouncing downstairs.

"Why are you all dressed up?" My mom asked me when I turned into the kitchen.

"Who said I was dressed up?" I asked, motioning to my lousy excuse of an outfit.

"Normally you hardly have the effort to put on pants." She commented, refocusing back on whatever she was doing, "you're even wearing makeup."

"Well, maybe I wanna go hang out with Chris." I stated.

"OK then, go have fun."

"Psh, fun." I mumbled under my breath, walking out the front door.

Quickly looking both ways, I jogged across the street and up to his doorstep.

Ding dong.

I pressed the doorbell, and stood in front of the door.

It has been forever since I had been over here.

"Oh, hey!" Chris greeted me with shock.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked him, laughing a little.

"Nothing much, I just wasn't expecting you to come over any time soon." He replied.

"Yeah, it's been a while."

"Well, stop standing out there and get your butt in here!" He commanded playfully.

I obeyed, and entered giggling.

I slumped right on their soft sofa, and kicked my feet on the footrest.

"So uh, what's been up." He asked, walking over to sit by me.

"Nothing much.." I replied hesitantly.

"Ok, spill. What happened." He stated, while sitting next to me in the empty spot on his couch.
