Ellie's POV
I closed the TARDIS doors behind me, and closed my eyes. A tear trickled down my cheek, as I felt the cool metal of the key in my palm. I had left him.
" Why did I do that...?" I said outloud to myself. " He's a Timelord like me.. Why would I abandon him? Because he said for me to? That's rubbish!" I rested my hands on the console of the TARDIS, looking over the controls. I chuckled. " Look at me, even talking like him.." I mumbled, running my finger over the metal in between buttons. " He truly is incredible... Flies a ship built to be driven by six Timelords by himself... And has been for so, so long..." I smiled down at the grated floor I stood on. " How lonely he is.." I paused. " I've gone mad... Talking to myself."
" It's not mad.... Not mad at all.." I reassured myself, shaking my head. I bet he does all the time.
' So, whatcha say, old girl? Where to next?' I jumped away from the console, looking around frantically, when my eyes landed on a video playback on one of the moniters. I ran up to the screen, grasping the handles on the sides.
" It's the Doctor... But..." I looked around, looking for a camera. " How.."
' Hmm. Earth, 21st century... Seems expected of us.' He sighed, putting his hands in his pant pockets. ' We usually end up there... Wait, America? Ha! Always wanted to go see America...' I smiled, as I looked at his look of sheer joy. He smiled. ' Alright, old girl... Allons-y, as they say.' He pushed down on a lever, and he took off, and the video cut off.
" So... I guess they were right about TARDIS' being living creatures..." I said, patting to console. " I needed this.." I sat down on one of the benches, and leaned back in the seat. I frowned. " He still needs us..." I jumped to my feet, and looked over the controls. " Let's see if I remember how to fly one of these.." I smirked.
