Doctor's POV
I carried Ellie back to the TARDIS, and laid her down on one of the seats. I smiled down at her, and placed the fog watch in her hand, curling her fingers back around its' cool metal. I snapped my fingers, and the doors to the TARDIS closed. I began entering a new coordinance into the TARDIS, when she came to, shooting up like a lightning bolt.
" What happened?" She asked, looking around the TARDIS. " Why are we on the TARDIS?"
" I'm bringing you home, Ellie.." I said, typing on a keyboard.
" B-But, I can't go home! Not now that I know the truth!" She said, holding up the watch. " I need answers.. And they aren't in modern day New York."
" Well, they aren't in New York in 1934, either." I said, turning around. " You need to remember why you re-wrote your genetic coding. How you ended up in New York, and anything about your past."
" Well, I remember my TARDIS crashing, so I.." She looked down at the silver watch. " I didn't want to die as a TimeLord, so I rewrote myself...So, maybe I could live a normal life.."
" There ya' go!" I said, smiling " Now, this must have been recent, you look like a young girl." I gestured to her, and she blushed.
" First of all, I do remeber my age, Mister." She snapped. " I'm 374-"
" Yeesh, you're young..." I chuckled. She rolled her eyes, and sighed.
" Maybe I regenerated before I rewrot- I don't remember!" She cried out, resting her head in her hands. " I need time to think.." Just then, the TARDIS shook violently, and sparks flew from the console. I took my hammer, and hit it a few times. More sparks flew, and the TARDIS shook one last time, before stilling itself. I cried out in frustration, slamming my hand down on the console.
" We're stranded here while the TARDIS repairs itself." I said, hanging the hammer back up on its hook. A sly smile crept onto her lips, and she got to her feet.
" Wanna still go see New York, Doctor?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. I looked down at the TARDIS controlls, and sighed.
" Yeah." I said, giving her a slight nod. " Lets."
