Chapter 4

Josh POV

"Please! My girlfriend is missing! You need to help me find her." I yelled at the cop.

"We can't start a search. She has to be missing for 48 hours before we can start searching." The cop said escorting me out.

I started to cry as I walked out the door. I ran back to Matt's car.

"The. The police said they can't start a search til she's missing for more than 48 hours" I choke out.

"Calm down man. No need to cry. Shes probably fine" Matt replied.

"Calm down? How the fuck can I calm down? My girlfriend is missing and your telling me to calm down!?" I Yell at him

I turn and stare out the window. I look up at the stars and wish that she's okay.

*insert phone ringing sound here*

" Hello?" I say into the phone.

"J-Josh" a quiet voice says.

Katie. It's Katie. She's alright!

"Baby are you okay?" I ask her

"I think so. I don't know where I am " Katie replies.

Katie's POV

"I think so. I don't know where I am" I say into the phone.

"Who are you talking to!?" The man yells.

"Are you on the phone!" He asks.

Josh's POV

That voice sounds so familiar.

I kept the phone pressed to my ear. I hear footsteps in the phone.

Katie screams. The line goes silent.

"Katie? Baby can you hear me?" I yell into the phone.

"Your never gonna find her" the guy says.

The guy. He sounds to familiar.

"ANDREW" I yell as he hangs up the phone.

"MATT ANDREW HAS KATIE." I yell thru tears.

Matt starts the car and starts driving to Andrews house.

*at Andrews*

Matt pulls in front of the house.

I take out my phone and type in the numbers 9-1-1 . Instead of pushing the green button I shutter my phone.

Matt and I run out of the car and thru the front door.

All we can hear is screams when we get inside.

"KATIE!?!" I yell as loud as I can.

Thru the screams I hear my name.

I hear another scream only this time much louder like someone's in pain.

The screams are coming from up stairs. I take my phone out of my pocket as Matt and I run upstairs.

2 people burst thru one of the doors. I press the green button on my phone.

"You better let Katie go" I yell.

I can hear Katie screaming.

Another guy comes thru the door. Andrew.

"What did you do to Katie?" I asked loudly.

"If you hurt her ill kill you" I yell at them.

I run as fast as I can thru the guys and into the bedroom.

Katie is laying on the floor lifeless.

I suddenly feel a punch in my back. I turn around quickly. Andrew starts to hit me. The two other guys are hitting Matt.

I hear sirens in the distance. Andrew pulls a knife out.

Please hurry up. Please be here I think to myself.

Andrew grabs me and hold the knife to my neck.

I hear footsteps coming up the stairs.

"Freeze! Drop the knife and put your hands up" the cops yell at Andrew and the 2 other guys. The cops put Andrew and the other guys on the floor and handcuff them.

The police ask Matt what happened. He explains. I run over to Katie and look for a pulse.

"Please find one. Please find one" I whisper.

The EMTs pick up Katie and put her on a stretcher. The run out of the house and I follow them.

They put her in the back of the ambulance and I hop in behind them. I spend the whole ride crying holding Katie's hand.
