Don't Let Me Go

 -Jade's POV-

  

   My content smile was perched on my lips until the movie ended. My eyes are tired from the brightness of the screen, so I look up at Karkat. "Can you carry me home?" I ask, my cheeks heating up. Karkat smiles a bit, and nods, lifting me up as I snuggled into his chest. 

     He laid me down, and kissed my forehead. "Goodnight." He said. "Goodnight." I said back drowsily. "I'll pick you up tomorrow, alright?" He asked, as I nodded in agreement. He smiles, as I drifted off to sleep, soon falling into a deeper sleep than ever before. 

-Karkat's POV-

It has to be somewhere. I opened her drawers softly, and finally, at the bottom of a box, laid a little razor, and a note. 

  Dear family, 

      I know that you're probably wondering why I did this...

I can't face him. Not at all. He follows me, and torments me. I can't do this anymore. No more yelling, or cursing. Just...silence. That's all I need. All I want. No one could save me. I know that. He's always been right. 

    I'm a waste of space. 

I don't want to be a waste of space.

Is it bad to just be happy?

Please don't look at me like this...

The dead can't respond.

(And Bec?  I'm sorry...I love you a lot too. Be nice to Jack, alright? I love you also, Jack. I'm so sorry.)

     I feel tears prick my eyes, as I rip up the note. I take the razor, and throw it down the toilet, along with the ripped paper. I find seven other razors, and a bottle filled with sleeping pills, labeled; For Later Use. I throw them all down the toilet, and flush it. I was about to leave, when I saw Jade. She was curled up on her bed, sleeping quietly. I smile at her, and walk over. I kick off my shoes, getting under the covers with her, and wrapping my arms around her waist. "Karkat?" She asked groggily. "Hm?" I asked. "Please don't let go." She begged. "I won't..." I say, and snuggle into her back. "I won't." I say again, kissing her forehead.
