LEVY'S P.O.V.

It was a sunny day at the guild. I was sitting at a circle of purple pillows with my friends. There was the oldest named Laxus, Erza, Natsu, Gray, Cana and the Strauss siblings. My best friends in the whole world! I was reading them my favorite book my mommy read to me before..the incident.

It's called 'Beauty and the Beast' and is my favorite book ever. Master would always read it to me on rainy days or if I was ever upset. I think I've read it about 2 gazillion times now, but every time I read or hear it it's like it's the first time. I'm not 100% sure what magic I want to learn yet, which isn't good because everybody else knows what they want. They even started training. It's hard, everybody wants me to learn what they have. I think ice magic would be cool like Gray's, but it just doesn't seem like me.

The Strauss siblings want me to do take over magic with them, but I think 3 is enough. I'm not too interested all that much in swords like Erza, but it'd be fun to change my outfit whenever I felt like it. Cards are fun too, and I wish I could learn all of the types of magic. But I can't. What would be cool is a type of magic that works with stories. I'd master it in no time flat with how much I read.

"So Levy, you know what you want yet?" Erza asked, leaning on my shoulder. "N-no. Not yet. Everything sounds so pretty but it doesn't seem like me." I shrugged, and Natsu jumped up. "I told ya, fire magic is the best!" He pumped a fist in the air and Erza rolled her eyes. She stood up and pointed a sword at his nose. "If it's superior how come you can never beat me, Natsu?" Erza smirked. I gulped, backing away slightly until I accidentally hit Laxus.

Natsu smirked as well and shrugged. "I can beat you, but I never unleash my full magic 'cuz I don't wanna kill ya." He smiled proudly and crossed his arms. Laxus snickered at him. I giggled a bit too, as the idiot had high hopes for himself. I stayed silent though, not wanting to interfere. "Alright Natsu if you're the best why not duel? Winner gets, I don't know strawberry cake or something." Erza shrugged. "Deal!" Natsu smiled his cheesy smile.

All of the kids rushed outside but I stayed where I was. We all know that Erza will win anyways. I finished my story and saw Laxus carry Natsu into the infirmary while Erza treated herself to a strawberry cake. I walked over to her, giggling. "What?" She asked me. I giggled again. "Oh nothing, just if you keep eating those you'll get addicted." Erza snorted before shoving a piece in her mouth. "I doubt I'll get addicted. I have self-control."

Sighing, I walked outside to see the rest of the kids. Cana was playing Elfman in war, winning triumphantly. Mira and Lisanna were playing tag with Gray. I walked over to the swing set, smiling as the sunshine warmed my tiny face. I'm 2 years older than Lisanna, but I believe we are the same height. I can't help that I'm short, but I can thank my mom for it.

My mom was a short lady who had blue hair and lime green eyes. My father was a giant with brown eyes and black hair. I miss them, but it's not like I can change the past. I continued to swing when Erza came back outside and immediately began fighting with Mira. I sighed. Erza loves to fight. I won't be surprised if she has the habit when she's older. Like the cake.

"Dinner!" Reedus yelled for us. "Yay!" We all cheered and ran inside. The bar maid, Mickey, gave us all a plate of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and some corn. After that she gave us all fruit punch. "Thank you!" The kids chorused. None of us kids have parents, that are alive anyway, so the guild feeds us and raises us. By the time we turn 18, it stops. We become an adult and have to take care of ourselves. Laxus is 15, and at the rate he's going, he should be thankful that his Grandpa is still around.

After dinner Mickey then gave us all a piece of cake. I liked vanilla cake myself, and Erza looked excitedly at her strawberry cake. "You'll get addicted." I giggled. "Will not!" Erza waved me off and happily started eating her cake. Natsu got lava chocolate cake, and Gray got vanilla cake like me. Cana had chocolate like Elfman, while Mira had lemon with Lisanna. Laxus had lemon too. I giggled to myself, seeing the icing match his hair.

After dessert the kids played outside a bit more before we were sent to bed. I had a room with Cana, my best friend in the guild. "Night blue." She smiled. I returned it before climbing in bed myself. "Goodnight Cana." Cana turned off her light and put on her sleeping mask. Cana wears it because I keep my lamp on to read every night until Bisca tells me to turn it off.

The next day at lunch Natsu came in running with an egg with Lisanna close behind. "Look what I found!" He yelled. I ran over to the egg to observe it. It had purple-ish blue flames coming from the bottom, while the rest of the egg was white. "What kind of egg is it?" I asked. Natsu beamed. "A dragon egg! I know it is it has to be!" My heart sank a little. Natsu's been desperate to find a dragon that raised him named Igneel.

"I don't think that's it." Laxus said what I'm sure everyone was thinking. "It has to be! Just look at it!" He exclaimed, looking saddened. Natsu showed everyone the egg. "Natsu, hun, it really doesn't look like a dragon egg. Maybe a large bird?" Mira suggested. Natsu shook his head. "It's a dragon egg I just know it!" He waved the egg above his head.

Bisca walked over. "Natsu what is it?" "Not a dragon egg." Gray snorted. "Yes it is!" I don't know exactly how, but soon enough the whole guild was arguing wether or not it was a dragon egg or not. I watched Natsu hold the egg and I thought about it. There is flames on the egg, but that doesn't really mean anything. Any animal could have those markings on their egg. It's dragon baby sized, at least it seems that way. I never saw a dragon egg before.

While everyone was arguing suddenly Natsu screamed. "What is it?" Master asked, rushing over. "It's-it's-it's hatching!" Natsu stuttered. He set the egg on the ground. Everyone huddled in close to see the miracle. I myself was extra eager. Not to see who was right or wrong, but to see what the creature was. Not to brag and lie that I was right if it was a dragon, to see if it was or not. Maybe it'd be something brand new that I've never seen before.

The egg rocked back and forth until the top cracked off. Everyone stayed still, not breathing. My eyes were so wide they covered my face. You'll never believe what I'm about to tell you what it was. A blue kitten. But that's not the crazy part! It had wings! It flew in the air with it's eyes closed until it dropped onto Natsu's head. "Wow." I whispered, unable to stay silent any longer.

Everyone became happy afterwards, and we held a party in honor of the strange creature. "What are you going to name it, Natsu?" Cana asked, beating Elfman in war for the 10th time in a row. "I'm gonna name him," Natsu held out the happy kitten Lion King style. "Happy!"
