11: Healing Gajeel

LEVY'S P.O.V.

   "GAJEEL!" I screamed, tears falling out of my eyes as I ran over to his side. His eyes closed, and his chest rose lower and lower. I looked up, glaring at Takara with tears in my eyes. She shrugged. "Not my intention, but it'll do." She smirked before pulling a brick in the wall and disappearing down a passageway. I stood up and went to chase after her when I got tackled in a hug from the side.

   "LEVY-CHAN! THANK GOD YOU'RE OKAY!" Lucy screamed, hugging me extremely tight. I pushed her off gently. "Lucy! Where's Natsu? Takara left! She's down this passageway he needs to find her!" I screamed, tears flowing like waterfalls. My best friend nodded and yelled up the stairs. Moments later, my pink haired friend came dashing down the stairs, a fire in his eyes.

   "Where's the bitch?" "Down this hallway." I instructed, pulling on the brick. The door slid to the side and within seconds Natsu was down the hall. Erza, Gray, and Juvia. came running down the stairs. I pointed to the hall and without another thought they ran down after Natsu.

   Lucy hugged me again. "Are you okay? Gajeel couldn't take care of you, I know he shouldn't have-" I gasped, gently pushing away Lucy again. How could I have forgotten? I screamed for Wendy, who came running down the stairs. She saw Gajeel behind us and ran over to his side. 

   I followed her and knelt by Gajeel's other side. Luna and Lucy hugged me, and I silently cried as other guild members walked downstairs. Laxus' face darkened, as did everyone else's, besides Master. He looked somberly at all of us. 

   "Gramps, I told you, Gajeel's nothing but a disgrace to Fairy Tail. Wendy shouldn't even bother healing him." Laxus growled. Master silenced his grandson with a wave of his hand. A few other members chimed in, lecturing Master that they should have gone instead. Eventually the tears blurred my vision and I couldn't take it anymore.

   "EVERYONE JUST SHUT UP!" I shouted before burying my face in my hands. Luna's grip tightened around me while everyone stopped shouting at Master. My cries filled the empty silence. Soon enough Wendy sighed. 

   "I can't do anymore, my magic is all used up from fighting." Wendy said, her voice cracking. I looked in between my fingers, Gajeel didn't look any better. Looking up, Laxus had the tiniest smirk on his face. Without another thought I stood up, marched over Gajeel's body and punched the lightning dragon slayer in the jaw. 

   I then turned around to Wendy, looking down on her. "If you can't heal him, fine. I know you tried. But we can still take him to Porlyusica. Solid Script: Levitate." I mumbled the last part, pointing at Gajeel. Silver translucent letters spelling 'levitate' carred Gajeel's limp body in the air and behind me as I marched up the stairs and ran to the old lady's hut. 

   About 10 minutes later I arrived. I pounded on her door. The old lady opened it, scowling and yelling at me to get manners. "Heal him. Please." My voice faltered as I flew Gajeel over to a bed. Porlyusica scowled again but grabbed her supplies to fix him up. 

   I sat in a bedside chair, watching Porlyusica work her magic. Minutes later Luna, Lucy, and Wendy arrived. They walked over and stood around me, each putting a hand on my shoulders. Wendy rested her chin on my head, just like Gajeel did in the dungeon earlier. 

   I'm not even too sure why I care so much, he always scared me. But lately, he's been making my stomach twist and turn and knot itself a million times over. Not to mention I have a hard time preventing myself from blushing whenever he's around. Could it be? No, I can't be in love with Gajeel Redfox.

Or can I?

   Porlyusica sighed and put her equipment in a box. "How many poison arrows?" "I think 8." She chuckled quietly. My eyes narrowed, glaring at the old woman. How dare she laugh! "It's remarkable, even for a man his size he should've died at 3. However, with killing magic, no matter the amount, if there's something that he's living for, something he loves so dearly, he'll always survive somehow. It's up to him if he lives or dies."
