GAJEEL'S P.O.V.

"Come on, Gajeel!" My dragon roared. You heard me. I said Dragon. "Coming Metalicana!" I growled. I lost my parents a couple years ago, and this dragon took me in. Don't get me wrong I love him, but I can't show it.

"Gajeel you truly have grown." Metalicana said to me. "Thanks." I grumbled, taking the fish he had just nearly burnt. "You just need to learn manners." I laughed. "What would a dragon know about manners?"

I've spent pretty much all of my life with Metal. I've learned to tell his expressions, and this wasn't a good one. "Gajeel Redfox. Eat and get to bed, you little brat." His face then softened into a smile. Well, dragon smile.

I happily ate my dinner and climbed up Metal to my loft bed hanging in the trees. I made it myself since Metal can't use tiny objects such as this stuff, but it just made more proud of my bed.

It was cloth that I found and nailed to a tree with nails Metal taught me how to make from my magic. I also bent the branches to form a ladder to the ground, but I rarely used it.

Lastly, I would strip the tree bark to make shelves to hold things close to me. There wasn't much. I had a spare change of clothes, a statue Metal made for me, and a small locket. It had a picture if my parents.

My dad was a strong, big man with red eyes and blonde hair. My mother just came up to his shoulder, she had black hair and green eyes.

I pat Metal on a back scale before slipping into bed. Metal sung me a lullaby, making me drift off to sleep.

....

I stretched, yawned, and sat up in my bed. Rubbing my eye, I looked to my right, and saw only Metalicana's empty nest.

"Metal?" I mumbled to myself. I climbed down my ladder and ran around our forest area. "Metal! Metal? Metaaaaal!" I screamed, looking for him. He's a giant dragon, how am I not seeing him?

I walked back to my "house" and climbed up to my bed. I sat there, waiting for Metalicana. It became high noon, and my stomach started grumbling.

"Where could he be?" After climbing down my ladder I sniffed around the nest. No scent. "He has to have a scent." I said, smelling some more.

I didn't find any trace of Metal. "Metalicana!" I screamed, starting to panic. "Metalicana!" Tears started, and I repeatedly wiped my eyes while screaming for my dragon.

Crying now, I started punching the ground. "He's gone! He left me!" I cried, punching trees and kicking rocks. "I HATE YOU METALICANA!"

I fell to the ground, sobbing. I put my forehead to the ground. "How could you leave me?"

Hello again! I hope this chapter was not too short, to me it seems shorter than Levy's but oh well. Also sorry it's late, this story is kinda like a back burner story for when I get bored. So, please don't expect updates once a week, though maybe some day that's how it'll be.

Happy Reading!~
