Carson

I hadn't seen Scarlet in days and I was starting to get worried. After she tried to kill herself I've gotten really concerned about her.
"Hey babe" Adela said.
Dating Adela was hell. She was a total control freak. She wanted everything her way.
"Hi" I said forcing a smile.
"What has that freak Scarlet done now?" She asked when we entered the school hallway.
The place was swarming with police officers.
"Carson Halpern?" One officer asked.
"Yes that's me" I said.
"Adela Shaw?" He asked addressing Adela.
"Yes" she said uneasily.
"Can you two please come down to the station with me. We have a few questions for you " he said ushering us to his patrol car.

"When was the last time you saw Scarlet White?" The officer asked.
"I don't know. I don't talk to freak shows" Adela said.
"You better watch your tongue lady. After we're done here everything you say might get you on my suspects list" the officer said clearly annoyed.
"I'm sorry" Adela said rolling her eyes.
"Mr. Halpern, when did you last see Scarlet?" He asked again.
"I'm not sure. She was mad at me. I last spoke to her in Rover woods, but that was almost two weeks ago." I said.
"May I ask why you were in an argument with her?" He asked.
"Adela, is her ex best friend and Scarlet and I dated and now I'm dating Adela soo.....you get the picture" I said.
"Yes I do. In fact very clearly. You date her best friend after dating her. You're a very nice boy" the officer said sarcastically.
"I know she doesn't deserve everything I've done to her but I have nothing to do with her disappearance. I think my brother does" I blurted out without thinking.
"Your brother?" The officer asked sitting up.
"And my sister. Mason and Francesca Halpern." I said.
"Where are they now?" The officer asked.
"I don't know. They left town." I said.
"Where are your parents?" The officer asked.
"We don't have parents. They died years ago. My legal guardian is my sister and my uncle" I lied.
"How old is your sister?" He asked.
"Thirty" I lied.
"I'll have to do a background check on you. Things don't add up." He said. "You can go now Miss Shaw, you can leave. I need to have a private chat with Mr. Halpern"
Adela got up and sped out of the room.
"My Name is Brooks, officer Brooks" he said.
"Okay..."I said.
"Now tell me, why do you suspect your siblings " Officer Brad asked.
"Mason is the reason she tried to kill herself. They were dating. Then he just left. She thought she was in love." I said.
"So what are you trying to say ?" Brooks asked.
"Find my brother. You might find her. She might have gone to look for him. Girls do stupid things like that" I said. "My brother is dangerous. He uses girls but he really broke Scarlet. He's capable of anything "
"I'll be in touch with you Mr. Halpern. You're not off the hook yet" he said.

Outside the station, Scarlet's mother was crying and screaming.
"Where is my daughter!!" She screamed pointing at me.
"Ma'am please. I don't have her" I said.
"Liar!!! You'll go to jail you retarded bastard! You and your whole family!!!" She screamed.
I walked away from her as fast as I could. They have to arrest Mason. They have to. In the meantime Scarlet must be found.

Mason
"Okay...we need to find Jade" Francesca said pacing around the gothic living room.
We had been able to get her from Carlos because we promised we'll find Jade.
"Yes. To save her" I said.
"No to turn her in!" Sarah said.
Both Sarah and Scarlet were here. Scarlet. I hardly remembered her. It was as if the memories I had of her we're fading away and being replaced by endless memories of Jade.
"We don't know if what Sarah is saying is true. She is not to be trusted." I said point at Sarah.
"I'm here fam " Jade said entering the room.
"What have you done to him" Scarlet said getting up with tears in her eyes.
"Nothing. He loves me. Only me. Let him go" Jade said smirking.
"Scarlet please. Let it go" I said.
Shooting an annoyed glare in my direction, she sat back down and folded her arms.
"What have you done to my brother you retarded bitch!" Francesca said.
"Fran accept it. I love her" I said.
"No you don't. She's a freaking witch!" Sarah said "We have to take her to Carlos.

"Mason, don't let them take me" Jade said with tears welling in her beautiful eyes.

"I won't my love." I said holding her in my arms. She was trembling in fear and weeping. "Are they lying? About Carlos?"
"It's true. But I swear I don't want to kill you. It was an excuse to be able to come back to this world to win your heart again" Jade said so sincerely.
"It's okay. You'll be here forever. With me" I said.
"Mason she's lying!" Francesca said.

"No!" I shouted "If you don't leave her alone....I'll leave. You'll never see me again"

"Mason please" Scarlet said jumping out of the chair. She ran to me and took my face in her hands. "Look at me. Don't do this"

"Get away from me. Why can't you understand! I do not love you!! Leave me be!" I shouted. " I will never love you"

"Mason Jade is lying!" Francesca said.

"I'm leaving " I said.

"If you leave. Just know that when you come back to your senses, I won't just open my arms for you to com back in and hurt me" Scarlet said between sobs. "As from now, you and I are history. I will never be yours ever again. I never want to see your face again. Ever in my life."

"I will survive " I said sarcastically.
She looked at me for a moment and memories of us together came back. Like flashbacks. But they vanished as fast as they came.

"I want to go back home Sarah. Please. Let me go back" Scarlet begged Sarah.

"Okay. Let's go" Sarah said getting up.
The two of them left the house leaving Fran, Jade and I.

"This isn't you Mason" Fran pleaded.

"Yes. It is. If you don't like it. Then I'm leaving " I said.

"Leave. I can't look at you anymore. Just go. Don't come back when you need help. I won't be there to help you. " Fran said.
That broke my heart. I loved my sister so much. But I loved Jade more.
" I will." I said turning to leave.

"Carlos will come for you. And when he does, I won't help you" Fran said.

"Don't worry Fran" Jade said " I'll protect my baby"

"Get out" Fran said looking disgusted.

Scarlet
I can't believe what is happening to me. He actually said those things to me. We were in a plane flying back to Oregon. Sarah was sitting beside me. Consoling me. I don't know why I was still sad. He had done it once. That time he was himself. This time, he's someone else. But I can't just let it go. I have to get over him. Live my life. He's not the only guy in the world. There's Connor. He's sweet.
Shit Connor.
I was supposed to go out with him yesterday.
After hours of flying we were finally at the airport. A swarm of policemen attacked us. The woman at the checkpoint saw my passport and sent a message to security. She kept Sarah and I confined in a room. She told us there was nothing wrong just precautions. Blue uniforms filled the room and took Sarah by hand and handcuffed her and did the same to me.
"What the fuck is this? I have lawyers!! I have my rights!" Sarah shouted.

"What is this?!!" I asked.

"You have the right to remain silent. Everything you say and do will be held against you in the court of law"
