We had arrived in Portland about an hour ago. Fran was driving to this so called Scarlet's house. I still had no idea how she looked.

"How do you know she's in danger?" I asked.

"I felt it" she said.

"Seriously?" I asked clearly annoyed. "You made us fly all the way back to the states just because you felt she was in danger!"

"My instincts are never off" she said plainly.

"God. I could hit you right now " I said.

"Trust me Mason" she said.

In a few minutes we arrived at a small White House close to where I lived when I was in Portland.

"This is her house" she said. " I suggest you stay in the car"

"Whatever" I said.

She strolled up to the front door and rang the bell. A woman who looked very familiar came out. She spoke with Fran for a while then closed the door.

"Scarlet's not home" Fran said.

"Great" I said.

"We're going to the school" She said.

"Why do you like her so much" I asked.

"It's because of you that she's gone through everything she's gone through. You Mason! You. She's been to hell and back for you. It's time you helped her" she said raising her voice.

"You won't even tell me what I did to her that was so bad" I shouted back.

"For one you don't remember who she is. That must sting" she scoffed.

"It's not my fault" I said.

"I know" she said " Maybe if you see her you'll remember "

"I hope I do" I said.

"We're here" she said pulling up at my old school. "That's her"
She pointed at a thin girl with dark brown hair. She had the greenest eyes I had ever seen. Piercing green eyes. She wore a dark green turtleneck and jeans. I could hear her laugh from where I was. That laugh. Sounded so...familiar. She was with Connor.

"Go talk to her " Fran said.

I got out of the car and walked up to her. She stopped laughing as soon as she saw me.

"Stay away from me" she said walking backwards.

"We need to talk. Please" I said.

"She said stay away" Connor said.

"Fran needs to talk to you" I said pointing at the car.

She walked past me and went to Fran.

"Scarlet" Fran said hugging her.

"Why are you guys here?" She asked.

"I had this feeling that something wasn't right" Fran said.

"I'm okay. I'm in a better place now." She said.

"He doesn't remember you at all now" Fran said.

"I think it's better that we both forget each other" Scarlet said.

"What did I do?" I asked frustratedly.

"I have classes soon. I need to get inside " Scarlet said leaving.

"Oh God tell me!" I pleaded.

Fran spent the next few minutes filling me in on everything that happened since I met Scarlet.
