Scarlet and I say in the kitchen staring at the mess that Jade had made. There were scratch marks all over my face but I was healing. Scarlet, was not. She had pieces of glass in her arm and scratch marks on her face.

"I'm so sorry about this" I said cleaning the blood from her face.
The smell of her blood made me thirsty.

"It's not your fault" she said.

"Are you sure you're okay" I asked as dark blood dripped from her nose.

"Yes. I think so" she said.

After hours of trying to get the kitchen back into shape we were done. All that was left was the living room.

"Oh my God" Scarlet said looking petrified.

"What is it?" I asked worriedly.

"I feel excruciating pain in my arm" she said before screaming loudly.

"What is it?" I asked again.

"I feel like someone's kicking me" she said holding her arm.

Bruises appeared out of nowhere on her body. Bite marks and slashes came out of nowhere. Blood oozed out of cuts that formed on her body. The smell of blood made me so thirsty.

"We have to get you to Francesca " I said carrying her and running out of the house.

By the time we got to Francesca, Scarlet was unconscious. She seemed to be healing fast.

"What happened?" Francesca said looking alarmed.

"I don't know. She just started bleeding and passed out" I said.

"She's healing " Fran said quietly. "Like a vampire "

"How?" I asked. "This can't happen again"

"She'll have to wake up before we can find out what's wrong with her" Fran said.

We waited for what seemed like hours before she woke up gasping for air.
I rushed to her side.

"Are you okay" I asked when she sat up.

" I think so" she said.

"How do you feel?" Fran asked.

"Normal" she said.

"Okay she's not a vampire" Fran said. " she'd be very thirsty if she was"

"What's happening?" She asked.

"The only other way her body would behave like that is if she was linked to another vampire" Fran said.

"Jade" I said sighing.

"What!?" I shouted.

"Calm down" Fran said. "All we need to do is find Jade"

"Why would she link me to her?" Scarlet asked.

"She knows we don't care if Carlos kills her. So she linked herself to you. If she dies, you die too. So now, we have to protect her. In order to protect you" I said.

"How can she be so heartless " Scarlet said as tears filled her eyes. "I'm just a seventeen year old and I've literally been to hell and back. I thought it was over"

My heart broke at what she said next.

"I love you Mason, I really do. But I can't do this anymore " she said crying.

"I promise after this, you won't see anyone of us again " I said. " We just need to make sure you are safe"

"Okay" she said taking a deep breath.
