The kiss between Shawn and Jay had lingered in the latter's mind all night. He lifted his hands and touched his lips, and could still feel the singer's lips on his own. He was in deep shit, and he knew it, but he couldn't shake away his feelings for Shawn. He always thought the singer was sweet, attractive and all around a genuine person since the day they met, but he didn't think he'd be kissing the guy within a matter of days.
His issue with Cameron was also running through his mind; confusion as to what Cam's true purpose of being angry was for. He thought about talking to him, but he remembered the things Cameron had told him, and he was still quite upset.
He was sitting on the balcony outside, enjoying the scenery and the quiet time to think. Shawn had dropped him off an hour ago, and they kissed again, a longing kiss that signified them not wanting to part at all. Jay was certain that they were dating now, and he was happy, he was extremely happy. Shawn was everything anyone could ever want. He was loyal, gentle, kind, and overall the sweetest person he could ever meet.
He heard the sliding door from the suite open, and he turned around. Matt stumbled out into the balcony, and laughed sheepishly.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know there was a bump in between the doorway and outside." he said, rubbing his head and grinning goofily.
"It's okay." Jay chuckled, "I was more worried you hurt yourself."
"Or almost flew off this thing." Matt agreed, scratching his head. He turned around, and admired the view, "So this is where you guys keep going."
"This is the famous balcony of thoughts and private conversations." Jay said, gesturing to the scenic view of illuminated buildings and the Hollywood Hills.
"Its beautiful." Matt replied, sitting cross-legged on the floor. He cleared his throat and turned towards Jay, "How was the music festival?"
"It was pretty dope. So many different bands, foods, and people. I enjoyed it."
"That's good." Matt said, "Did Cam come and talk to you?"
Jay sighed, "Sort of."
"I know.. I kind of saw the whole thing." Matt said, bringing his knees up to his chin, "Cam can get unpredictable sometimes.. I'm sorry he yelled at you like that. I tried to confront him about it and tell him he was wrong but just pushed passed me and left."
"What is his problem?" Jay asked, still staring at the Los Angeles skyline, "He kept saying it's me, but he wouldn't tell me exactly. Did I do something wrong?"
"You didn't do anything wrong." Matt clarified, "I think he might just be dealing with something he doesn't understand. He usually takes his issues out on people sometimes and lashes out. But he had no right to do it to you."
"I really thought everything was going okay.. I thought we were good friends.. what happened?"
"Don't be sad Jay.." Matt said, patting him in the back, "I think we need to plan a vacation."
"A vacation?"
"Dude, let's all go to Malibu tomorrow! We can go hang out on the boardwalk, go to the beach, and all that good stuff." Matt suggested, as he looked at Jay.
"You think that would be a good idea?" he asked.
"It'd be perfect." Matt began, "Who knows, maybe even Cameron will tell you why he went off on you."
"I don't even wanna speak to him. As sad as it makes me, he still insulted the shit out of me." Jay replied, "It hurt."
"Understandable. Either way, we could have fun man, just ignore the petty drama and have fun in the sun. It is California after all."
