The last few days of their stay in Los Angeles was well played. Jay and Daniel had attended three more Magcon events, grasping the idea for future inclusions. The fans seemed pretty upset about Shawn's absence, but the boys had reassured them that he'd definitely be back soon. On the other hand, Jay had been talking to Shawn on the phone every night since his departure and he couldn't wait to see him at Taylor's Fourth of July party. Their relationship had really grown, and Jay was honestly happy. When he spoke to Shawn, he forgot all about the issues he had with Cameron, and the singer was really sweet, making Jay feel loved and appreciated.
Since Cameron's last outburts, he nor Jay have spoken whatsoever, the only true interaction between the two was when they had passed each other in the hallway once. Cam had attempted to say something, but he changed his mind at the last minute. During the Magcon events, they opted to seperate the two, and it seemed to work out well.
Daniel and Jack had a strong relationship ever since the breakup between Mia and Jack. They'd been going out night after night and were always in each other's presence. Jack was head over heels for Daniel, something that he thought he'd never get to experience, and to say the least, he felt truly happy. The night they had spent camping out on the balcony of the hotel, overlooking the City of Angels was their most precious moment, and they had spent it with each other. They watched the sundown, and the sunrise with each other and made a vow to never let the other go, no matter what circumstance.
Jay had been hanging out with Matt alot more since the last time he had spoken to Cameron. He'd be over every night, watching movies, and trying, but failing, to succeed Jay in Mortal Kombat X. He'd been great company, and the two would often Facetime with Shawn on their more boring nights. Other nights, they'd call Taylor, Nash and Carter to come over and play board games, which usually ended up in Nash losing and pouting.
Jay was currently cooking a dinner for the boys, since he only had four more days in California. Daniel was setting the table, with Jack helping him, and Matt was watching a movie in the living room.
"I hope you guys like spanish food." Jay said, as he stirred the rice in the pot. He, Matt and Jack had went to the store earlier to buy some meat, rice and other ingrediants for the dinner that Jay was preparing.
"You're forgetting I'm spanish right?" Matt called from the living room.
"Okay, but you're a different spanish than Puerto Rican, so you might not be used to this." Jay laughed, as he seasoned the meat.
"You've cooked for me a thousand times, so I know this is about to come out poppin'." Daniel replied, as he finished setting the last dish.
"What is it again? If you don't mind me asking." Jack asked, as he leand across the kitchen counter.
"It's Arróz con Gandulés, Pérnil, Chuléta, and Tostonés." Jay said, as he finished putting the Adobo on the meat.
"I'm white dude." Jack replied, with a blank look on his face.
Matt laughed from the couch before pausing the movie, "He said it's Rice and Beans, Roasted Pork, Pork Chops and Fried Plantains."
"Plus, my mom's famous garden salad, and my grandmother's famous Trés Léches Cake. Which means three milks cake." Jay said, as he finished putting the meat in the oven.
"This is just a dinner.. I can imagine you guys on Thanksgiving." Jack said, as he shook his head. He could feel his stomach growling at the mention of all the food.
"Babe, you have no clue. It's like a crazy buffet in Jay's house for Thanksgiving, and last year they had this ball of meat thing that tasted so good!" Daniel replied, as licked his lips, "I miss that food."
