The dinner flew by with ease. The group of boys joked around, and Jay had even baked a cake for Matthew's birthday, which they celebrated by singing to him and splattering his face with cake. They ate all of the food that was cooked, which completely shocked Jay, and were now all sitting around the table asking about Shawn's concert.
"A ton of people showed up. I didn't expect that at all." the singer told them, as he took a sip of his soda, "It was amazing. It felt great to make all of those people happy."
"You're an amazing singer man. You're gonna sell out even bigger shows soon, I promise." Carter said, "The best part about it is making other people happy."
"It's like Magcon, we do this for the fans. The one's who've been there for us since Vine, and the one's who'll always be there for us." Nash stated, as he twirled a coin in between his fingers.
"You all deserve the best things to come. Hard work and perserverance are what counts and God only knows you guys have worked hard to build up what you've done." Jay said, as he got up to take everyone's plates, "Now all of you need to leave so I can clean up before this party."
"I'm gonna stay." Shawn said, looking at Jay, "You're not doing this alone."
"We can help you out." Carter offered, as he got up to wipe down the table, "You cooked for us, a huge ass meal. There's no way you think we're not helping out."
"You guys need to get ready for the party." Jay said, "I'm alright here."
"Stop." Matt said, "After the whole secret birthday celebration and gift with cake and candles and blah blah blah, I'm helping you clean."
Jay sighed, "It's really no big deal. I enjoy cleaning."
"We can help." Nash said.
"I still haven't even chosen the outfit I'm gonna wear. I'm serious guys, I really appreciate it but it's okay. Besides Taylor has to leave and set up and I'm pretty sure he needs more help than I do." Jay insisted, as he began setting up garbage bags to collect the scraps that were littered around the table.
"Speaking of setting up, I should seriously be going. Jay, thanks so much for dinner and I promise you, after our first Magcon, we're going to the track to drive some Ferrari's." Taylor said, as he got up to hug him, "I'll see you later bro."
"Peace man." Jay replied.
"Fine. I concede, but don't make any plans for tomorrow, because we need to talk." Matt said, before shooting a look at Shawn, "I'm stealing your boyfriend tomorrow and there's nothing you can do about it."
Shawn chuckled, "It's fine."
Nash and Carter both hugged Jay for the meal and followed Taylor and Matt out of the room, with Cameron, who hadn't said a word but a small 'thank you', closely following behind them. Daniel closed the door, and stood beside Jack.
"We're gonna go hang out on the balcony, okay?" Daniel said, winking at Jay, "Seriously, if you need some help cleaning up come get us because look." he finished, gesturing to the giant mess around them.
"I'll be alright." he laughed, as he finished throwing some paper napkins away.
Shawn watched as both Daniel and Jack disappeared into the hallway, and he took in a deep breath before sighing, "Still not talking to Cameron?"
Jay was taken aback, "Um, it's a long story."
"I mean, he called you a problem.. I understand you." Shawn replied, as he got up and walked towards Jay, "I wouldn't ever let him say that to you if I were there."
