Sam's POV:
My phone screeches and blares my 6:15 am alarm. I groan as I turn it off.
Here we go.... The dreadful Monday...
My mom and dad are coming home tonight, which should be fun. We'll probably go out to dinner and what not.As I get dressed, putting on my favorite pair of American Eagle jeggings, cuffed of course, and a light pink sweater, Hayes wanders into my thoughts.
I play over yesterday's events over and over in my mind while I'm spraying water into my messy hair. I decided to think about Hayes later. I walk past my sister's room, where she's curling her perfectly straight hair, and to the bathroom to put my makeup. It must be nice to have straight hair. I can't stand my ugly waves, they're always somehow frizzy, unless it's a good day. I decide on just light makeup today. I have no desire to take the time to do my eyeliner. As I finish with my foundation, Hayes creeps back into my mind.I don't know what we are, but should I tell people about me and him? We were never even "talking". It seems all of a sudden.
My mom would flip.
She's had that "mom detector" on my feelings for Hayes since I was 10. She's been pushing me to tell him for years.
But yet, I don't even know exactly what we are.I replay his words over and over again.
He never said, "girlfriend" ......Hayes' POV:
It's been kind of a busy morning since Skylynn refused to get out of her bed today.
Sam hasn't left my mind since yesterday. I can't wait to see her. Before going downstairs I look at myself just one more time. Hair? Check. I toss it around with my hand and flip it again, just to double check. I threw on some random RVCA shirt that was hanging behind my door, which I'm pretty sure is Nash's, and the usual shorts, crew socks, and vans.
Once I got downstairs it seemed like hell. My dad was running around trying to get Skylynn to cooperate. Nash was ironically making breakfast that wasn't pop tarts.Nash is an awful driver. As we drive to school he sings along to Hotline bling.
I pull out my phone and decide to text Sam.H- good morning (:
As we park she finally texts back.
S- meet me by my locker.
H- ok? See ya in 5.Uh oh.
