One Mystery One Life

chapter 8

There she is... I found Annie finally after looking for her everywhere in the hall. She is going to be my first check to get near Alex. I hope it goes like I think so. I don't have an exact plan, but this strategy or whatever it is will work as well.

I saw her at the first day of high, running through the hallway with a wide grin on her face, seeing me in the football field with her blue eyes in an observation and moreover playing with her little brother in the park smiling, laughing and giggling. I kind'a like her. I found nearly everything about her and made myself a successful stalker and today I finally planned on approaching her to ask her out someway or other.

First thing I am going to do is approach her friend Annie and talk to her about, I don't know what. I just want to try her friend to get near her. By try I mean befriend. 

"Hey I am ... " I said tugging the side of Annie's coat and not knowing what to say next. Annie's face had wide crooked grin on the face, I stopped myself and I started staring at her face on what is she going to do, well she is kind of a scary person. For her walking style reminds me of a bully. And she always has that poker face on. 
"So, you are in love with Alex " Annie found out some how and stated that sentence in front of me and I just kept staring at her. She's a genius and I wanna' know what does she want to say next and she should say something too right.

"I saw you stalking Alex, so I assumed that you are in love with her." I was about to say no to her but, she interrupted " Just say you love her and if you confess I can set you two up " Annie gave me a deal which was the most pleasant one. I started nodding a yes like an idiot.

I was about to say thanks to Annie but Alex came and pulled her arm to herself to drag Annie away with her.

"hey, Alex...um why don't we take him along, actually he was talking about being tutored by me" Annie said winking at me and a slightest of a grin appeared on my face. She was saying me in some happy tone. And Alex busted into laughter and I was trying to figure out what just happened in confusion. Alex stopped laughing after a few minutes and started.

"Sorry, couldn't help it , you just asked the biggest idiot to tutor you, just wondering if you are a bigger one" when she said that, I folded my lips to hide amusement at Annie who is kind of a scary person or maybe she just a dope person. I mean she seems crazy.

"Which subject did you actually want?" Alex asked.
Some feelings spurred in my heart and butterflies ticked my stomach. This is going to be good my gut told me.

"Physics" I answered honestly, I got an F in my report card and this is really two birds with one stone, don't know if I said is right, just waiting for her answer.

"Oh! That's good I can tutor you if you want?" Alex said with a generous smile which of course melted my heart , a 'yes' came automatically out of my big mouth and I blushed and started looking down on the ground "So you are a shy guy" Alex said reading me and I smiled sheepishly.

"How much would you want ?" I asked her about the fee of the needed tutoring sessions, my heart was pounding like crazy. Well, I want to give her some.

"Nah, none, am just doing it as a time pass" Alex confessed and gave an another generous smile. Not soon that the bell rang and we went to our class unfortunately I must add.

The rest of the day I didn't talk to her because she was hanging out with Annie.
In recess she told me that the tutoring session will start on next Sunday.
Now again am standing in front of the main gate leading out of the building, if it was the main one waiting for her to come out.

I handed her a rose with a smile and asked her "Will you be my..." My voice trailed of as a person besides me cleared his or her throat. I got too lost in my dreams.

"Um, sorry I got kinda late " There was amusement in the voice, it is Alex's, damn it she heard me I was thinking out too much and now that I notice a few people that just passed by were getting entertained by me too.

"Nope, it's alright " I claimed it was alright which was not. 

"Oh! yeah either way what I forgot was to ask your name  Really silly of me isn't it " she confronted me and continued Either way "my name is Alex "

"yeah I know " I blurted out from my great wall of china of a mouth and made an excuse right away " I mean, I heard the teachers calling out your name in the class. " 

She raised an eyebrow and asked again "What is your name?" emphasizing each word.
" Am Eddie " I replied. I have to begin training to be a gentle man for the sake of Alex, just kidding. I mean I want to be it for her or it's just to impress her. Either way etiquette are the way of life my mom says that. Not that I listen to her... but they are also to charm people. I like to do that so much.

 "It's been very nice meeting you " and placed my hand in the air in front of her to be shook and let me have a touch of hers.

She was about to shake my hand but Annie came out of nowhere, seriously out of nowhere and jumped on Alex out of nowhere and stopped her from giving me a touch of her hand I deserved. They both said 'Goodbye' to me and Annie mouthed me a sorry and I just gave her a smile to assure it was okay. I owe my day to her.

The best days of my life were just starting as I was in a new ship to sail with my love, Alex.
