Alex P.O.V.

"Annie!" I called out for her and she looked down, at me. I smiled and climbed a branch right above me. The clouds covered the sun and I saw Annie had a broken look on her face and had a scar on her eye, weird it wasn't there before. She climbed a branch and the sun shone with its rays piercing right through my eyes. I couldn't see her properly and the sun was being over. I climbed one more branch making us being at a one branch distance. She climbed down slowly. There was a crackle of leaves from m right and I looked there and saw Annie standing on a branch of a tree and smiling with her eyes closed. She looked peaceful unlike the Annie in front of me. Wait a second an Annie right in front of me and an Annie on the other tree. One peaceful and the other one broken and in pain. Two Annies one is real and the other is I don't know. Creeps ran down my spine. The one in front of me looked safe. The other half feeling grew inside me and I had a sudden urge to hug her. I stepped closer and looked at her face filled with worries. I was about ask her a question in my mind forever, but now it was blocked in my throat by dry cotton, if you get what I am saying. I extended my hand towards her and was about to touch her, but she started crying out of a sudden and hugged me. I considered hugging her back. I didn't know what was happening but something in my mind knew everything about this, unconsciously.

Now there was no doubt that this wasn't Annie, but someone else. This embrace looked known to me, but I just couldn't remember. She removed her hand from my back and I released her. I tried to see her face, but the sunlight again. I blocked it with my arm and tried looking at her, but my eyes wouldn't just open.

"has been a long time, Alex." She paused for a moment, "see you again later." She said bidding me hello and a goodbye directly after. She placed a kiss on my forehead and climbed down the tree. I opened my eyes which I had shut all this time to be fought with the beams of the sun shining directly upon me. I stumbled on the branch and was about to fall, but luckily caught on to offshoot of the tree. I sighed and relaxed putting all my weight on it. But then I realized I shouldn't have done that. There was a breaking noise. The offshoot I was holding on to broke and I slipped down the branch.

My god, I fell. I saw the branches and shoots going up into the sky.

Idiot, you are the one who is going into the ground and will be 2 feet under it soon.

Now, the voice inside me had to argue with me at the time of my death. I can't even die peacefully. I shut my eyes and waited for me to hit something.

"Epic romance." I said seeing what had hit me or that I was now staring onto that beautiful face. Annie had took me into her arms in a bridal style and I lied there examining her face. So, this is how romance is supposed to be. My face wasn't red yet from the heat as Annie had covered the sun stopping me from getting heat.

Annie took me off her arms and smirked at me. It was just so embarrassing, why in the world did I say it out loud. Life sure is complicated, god. I looked down to make sure she knew I was not blushing.

She slapped my shoulder bringing me out of the thing. She looked at me and smiled ear to ear. Then I realized she didn't hear me. She grabbed me by my shoulder and lead me to I don't know where. We kept walking away from that stick house and she stopped besides a tree. I also stopped right besides her as she started climbing the tree and I climbed it with her. I copied her with everything and now we sit on one of the top stable branches.

"so, you met her?" she asked and I looked at her trying to find , did she know deep in this thing.

"yes, I did." I answered her and she looked at me in a little confusion, I raised my eyebrow at her and she laughed at me.

"I guess you don't know about it, after all." She said when she had it over with her laugh. What did she mean? Before I could ask her something she jumped off the tree. I am going to take it out of it no matter what.

I climbed down, running after her as she ran to somewhere. She stopped behind a tree; I realized that she was not running from me. I also stopped behind her and she pushed me by her hand to the tree, telling me to hide. I hid and tried peeking at what she was looking at and saw a black man carrying a sack. I looked at Annie and she pressed her lips against each other. I looked back at the black man, seemed to me like a bodyguard. I saw some movements in the sack, Jack... Rebecca. Are they safe? I thought and realized that they could me in there. I continued peeping and saw two other guards carrying Iris and Eddie on their shoulders. Where are they taking them? I took a step so soon that Annie stopped me and pulled me back with her.

"wait, we have to be careful and don't you do something rational."
