Chapter 9: Raven

I fall through the portal, just in time. The portal shuts, right when I jump in it. inside of the portal, it feels like you're smashed inside purple jello. To tell the truth, the portal ride inside is quite quick. I fall out of the portal, with the others. I'm falling down..... into a pile of rocks. Is this good? Looking back, the portal is hanging upside down in the sky, and then poofs away. When I turn back around, the ground is coming fast and quick. Most likely, I'm going to hit the ground at 80 miles per hour, of a car? Let's Just hope I don't die... those rocks on the ground look pretty sharp...As I fall, I notice I'm going to hit the ground, not the rocks. Some fluffy, mint green grass below me feels like a stiff blanket. All of a sudden, I have the sense that someone is behind me. I look back to see, someone shoots me with an arrow right in the leg. Everything is fading to darkness...

"When will she wake up? We have to wait for Shantal and Shiv, anyways." I hear someone say. "I don't know, maybe in 2 or 3 hours max? In that time, you could go searching for a way home, like you did a few hours ago." Another person says. "I mean, we gotta do something. How would you like to be stuck in the middle of an evil forest, Cresent?!" Cresent? He's awake? "Dakota, We are in the middle of a forest." Ok, Dakota and Cresent have to be awake. I slowly open my eyes, to Cresent and Dakota staring at me, like I just said something insane. "Are you guys alright?" I ask. "Uhh.... Look at your leg. That might help you understand a bit." Cresent tells me, his eyes big.I look down, to see an enormous gush of blood coming out of my right leg. "Does that hurt?!" Daktoa asks, astonished I'm not screaming in pain. "It hurts, but not to bad. I mean,  I can feel the arrow, but it doesn't give me pain." I state. "Well, if you're sure you're fine..." Dakota still is scared for me. Does she think I'm going to die, because of all the blood coming out? "Dakota got up a few hours after me, this morning. I searched the place around us- I predict we're in the forest of spiritanual. There's not going to be another sight of going home for at least 5 days." Cresent looks at me and Dakota, worried. "So what's your plan for getting out of here?" I question him. "Well.... I was thinking about asking Shiv. He's always good with navigating." I facepalm for what Cresent just said. Shiv is not that good at navigating.Wait, where are Shiv and Shantal? Didn't we all fall out of the portal in the same place? "Hey, where are Shiv and Shantal?" I ask. "Probs somewhere near us." Dakota says. I try to stand up, but the leg that got shot won't let me. "Guys... I think we have a problem.... I can't stand up." I say, shaking. All of a sudden, Dakota gives Cresent a devilish grin. "Maybe you should carry Raven on your back?" "Uhh.... Ok?" Cresent gives me a hand. I stand up, somehow, with one leg. Cresent sits me down on this sedimentary rock, which looks like it was red but someone threw up on it. Next, Cresent tells me to hop on his back, which I do. "Are you sure this doesn't hurt?" I ask. "No; I'm fine." Creent's face is turning quite red. "Cresent, your so weak! How can your face be turning so red, with a light feather on your back?!" Dakota laughs. Cresent looks at Dakota, annoyed. "You know,  my face isn't going red because of her on my back, it's because if anyone sees us, it would be awkward." Cresent snaps back. As we walk away from the boulders, the area where we fell to the ground, I can't help but feel as if someone is following us. I turn around, only to see Dakota, smiling at me.

Dakota, Cresent, and I walk down to this waterfall, that we see up ahead. It's beautiful- sparkle-like clear, fresh water coming down from a cliff above. At  the bottom of the fall, there's rocks and pebbles that look like they just came out of heaven, and a faw- WHAT?! I rub my eyes, trying to not believe what my eyes are seeing. Am I dreaming? This is scary. Shiv only had a chance to meet Shantal for a few moments... I think it was the portal. Really Hades? He just had to. I look back at Dakota again, only to see that she's not smiling anymore. Her mouth is open wide, with her jaw dropped. She mumbles something, most likely saying, 'I thought Cresent and Shantal were perfect for each other! Why! Not Shiv and Shantal?!'. I cup my hand around Cresent's ear, and ask him the question that would get him so annoyed. "Did you see Shiv and Shantal? I just was wondering, didn't you like her?" I whisper. His face turns from ok, to really ticked off. I could just imagine little puffs of smoke coming from his ears, if he was in a cartoon. Suddenly, Cresent says, "No that you mention it, I do see those two together. And yes, I do like Shantal!" Cresent is basically almost screaming it, because I see a few birds in the trees (they don't even look like birds, more looking like deformed deer faces with butterfly wings) scatter away, tweeting horridly.

The thing that made me, Cresent, and Dakota confused when we saw Shiv and Shantal together, one would ask? It was that Shiv was laying right next to her, his arm as Shantal's pillow. Suddenly, I hear Dakota do a face palm. I look back at her, to see that she has a lop-sided reddish-pink circle in the center of for head. Suddenly, Cresent drops me. He runs into the woods of what looks like the jungle, but with a million more trees. A few moments later, he runs out, with a stick in hand, but one of those creepy birds flying after him. "I didn't mean to! It was the only stick I could find!" Cresent yells. That bird that was chasing after Cresent must have been extremely idiotic, because it stops right when it is about to hit Cresent's head, and flies over to a tree near Cresent, to catch an unlucky worm.Cresent does that motion for Dakota and I to come where he is standing. "What do you want? I mean, that stick you have in your hand has nothing to do with situation of Shiv and Shantal." Dakota states. "Just wait and see. You're going to love this!" Cresent says, with a big grin on his face. To tell the truth, I'm scared. I'm scared, because when Cresent has a big grin on his face, that means he's up to something. Let's just hope it isn't too bad.I watch Cresent, as he walks near the waterfall. He stands on this rock, which looks more like a turtle's back, and takes out the stick he found in the forest, from his back left pocket. He takes the stick by one hand, and pokes Shiv in the ear with it. Now if you were to imagine waking a person up and they punch you in the face, as if they weren't even sleeping, that's what just happened. Shiv suddenly woke up, turned to face Cresent's grinning face, and punched it. I never noticed that Shiv can punch so hard, so forceful. His punch made Cresent falling backwards into a tree. "Don't do that again, or I swear I'll kill you." Shiv says, and turns back around, to face Shantal. "Why are you with Shantal, anyway?" I ask. Shiv most likely didn't notice that Shantal was right next to him, because he gave out a loud shriek."Ha! Your laugh sounds like a little girl's scream!" Dakota falls to the ground, laughing. "I don't know why Shantal is next to me, I swear! All I can remember is going through the portal, and falling to the ground by this waterfall. And then you ask me why I'm with Shantal?!" You could tell, just by the look on his face, that he is confused, by enjoying it. I know he likes her. Just by looking at her, you would think she is Aphrodite's daughter. Shiv, totally acting like a gentleman (not), pokes Shantal in the shoulder. "Hey, Shantal, why are you next to me?" Shiv asks Shantal. You can tell Shantal just woke up, because she says 'but I want to keep my flower crown. I've always had it!'. Shiv, trying to be serious, can't help but laugh. "You sure are something else." Shiv shakes his head, laughing, and stands up. Shiv gives Shantal a hand, and helps her get up. Shantal looks different though- she doesn't have her flower crown, and she's wearing lululemon leggings, black combat boots, a black "I'm not your boo" ripped shirt, and a backwards baseball cap. "Did you change?" I ask. "No, I just was wearing this the last time I was on earth." Shatntal replies. I look down, finally noticing that my clothe changed, too. I'm wearing the last thing I wore on earth, when I was getting taken away by  the Cyclops.
