1 Year Later

It was lunchtime. Tana and I started to walk to the cafeteria when we ran into Cosmos "Oh hey Cosmos," I say and she says hi back. I continued to walk with Tana to the cafeteria.

I stop the others already at our lunch table. Crescent was talking to Shiv while Shantal was busy with her food. Tana and I walk over to them. I sat next to Crescent and Tana sat across from Shantal.

Cosmos, one of my friends who have been with me forever, sat next to Shantal. We've never told Cosmos the reason why were we gone for so long, and how we aren't normal humans.

I know that it's bad but I don't want to worry her. Cosmos already had enough on her plate sense her dad is going to be gone for a year. Cosmos has already been in enough trouble this year as well.

"Why does cafeteria food have to suck?" I hear Shiv say. I look over at him. "Because it does," Crescent answers. I roll my eyes. I look over at Tana sitting next to me. I notice Tana roll her eyes as well.

"Awe boohoo," I hear Shantal say "Just grow up and eat it." I hear Tana snort. I smile a bit and continue eating my food. "If you don't like the food then just make your own food at home," Tana says.

"But that's too much work," Shiv answers. I almost spat out my food "Says the son of- nevermind," Tana says.

I hear Crescent chuckle "Your such and idiot," he says with laughs. "You've been quiet this whole time Raven, what's on your mind?" Shantal says. I look up at her.

"Food," I answer and Shantal raises an eyebrow "Your going to get fat if foods on your mind all the time," she says. I snort "Not if you have high metabolism," I say.

Shantal playfully rolls her eyes while Crescent and Shiv snicker. Tana bites her lip trying not to laugh and Cosmos smiles a bit. "Not everyone has high metabolism Raven," Shantal says. "Well then that sucks for them," I answer stabbing a fork into my Mac and cheese.

The bell rings for the end of lunch and I get up and throw my food away. I walk out of the cafeteria with my friends. We all walk into the class we all had together and I sit down at my desk.

'It's great to be home' I think and class starts.
