One morning found the silver hanyou just waking up, feeling rather chipper. The poison had mostly gone from his body by then; now he was just adjusting to movement again. Once ready for the day (with a little help from a trusted personal servant) he slowly walked to the dining hall to eat there for the first time in many weeks.
To say everyone was shocked to see him enter the dining room was an understatement. And in all honesty, the one that was surprised the most was Mephiles.
"Good morning," Silver said quietly to everyone with a soft/shy smile, giving a somewhat stiff bow --due to slow recovery-- before he slowly made his way over to his designated seat by Meph.
Their children were napping at the moment so Mephiles had his hands to himself as he watched the hanyou approach. "You've improved," the demon murmured.
"You, Sonic, and Shadow are the ones I have to thank," he replied with a soft smile, the nearly recovered uke thanking Mephiles when the demon actually stood and pulled out Silver's seat for him, his action surprising everyone at the table, even Meph himself....
"We are all just happy you're alright," Sonic stated happily, smiling at the hanyou.
"Yes, and I am glad that I've managed to recover so quickly," he smiled in return. "Besides, I wanted to be able to give you and Shadow a proper farewell since you shall be leaving soon..."
"It's too bad that this had happened to you, Silver. But it is good that you are alright."
"That's true," he smiled at his blue friend, "But, if I had to do it again, I would...."
And to Meph's surprise, he could tell that Silver was speaking the truth...
Then they all ate, calmly chatting amongst each other. And since Silver was feeling much better, Sonic had suggested a quick tour of the town.
The silver furred uke's amber eyes lit up with excitement, "Oh, I'd love to come!"
"Mephiles, can I go?" He asked his 'mate', "Please?"
Mephiles glanced quietly at the hanyou. "I suppose. But only if you bring a healer with you; I don't want any accidents," he muttered sternly.
"I understand," he nodded with a soft smile. "I'll bring a healer along and I'll make sure not to overexert myself..."
"Good." Mephiles murmured. He wasn't sure if he should let Silver out just yet because of his condition. But he'd already said yes, so he couldn't go back on that now.
The two couples then continued to enjoy their morning meal together--Sonic keeping Silver's attention by telling him all about where they were going to go once in the city.
Shadow couldn't help but smile at that. Other than giving birth, there was one more thing that ukes had in common with demonesses and females in general.
They all LOVED to shop....
Silver had never had a chance to shop before, especially with a huge abundance of money to spend now. Even when he was with Manic, he couldn't really leave the house, his past mate afraid for him and his unborn children.
And even though he didn't make a deal with Mephiles for his money, now that he had it, so to speak, he didn't know what to do with it....

Mephiles soon had a carriage prepared for the ukes. He wasn't sure if he'd go yet, but would go only if Shadow went.
And his brother did of course decide to go, wanting to spend some more time with his mate, but also going to be able to keep an eye on Silver in case Meph wasn't joining them...
